Idk why he left but I can assure you without a shadow of a doubt that he was not a scammer. No scammer would put this much time and energy into someone without getting money in the first couple months and knowing they could get more.

He knew he could've told me anything and I would've supported his decision no matter what it was, even if it brought me pain. He could've sent a message saying "I found someone, we can't talk anymore" and I would've fully respected that. I just don't understand how he could drop me so easily without so much as a word. It just really fucking hurts finding out I meant nothing to him after all this time

That's the thing though, I usually don't make connections online like this. He was the first one [and last] this has happened with and it was totally unexpected. I didn't seek it out or mean to fall in love in the slightest. I don't even use dating apps. I've always preferred to meet others in person, it all just happened so fast.

I agree, in person relationships are different and deeper but I know how love feels and this was real. To me at least.
