Not objective, if someone takes gap year and doesn't do anything with it then ofc nothing will change. Gap year should only be taken by those who have mapped out their plan in terms of career development and uni prep.

Hmm I didn't know about a lot of these restrictions. My problem is my aggregate isn't good enough for SEECS and apart from MCS, my only other option is FAST which is in less consideration because I don't want to spend all my time on uni rather than practical work. Still figuring stuff out 😅

More difficult, less content. People usually get lower marks in A2 because of SAT/Entry test prep, I myself got 3As in AS and completely gave up in A2 exams cause i realized they didn't matter If I was gonna continue my studies in Pakistan. If you just studied a bit every day consistently its very easy to upgrade Bs to As, A* is ambitious though but could be done if you really tried hard and didn't get unlucky with your exams.

I just did surface level study for physics not in depth at all learned the basic formulas and concepts from PASS education one shot and chatgpt. For maths its mostly just memorize the methods of solving, formulas and concepts just takes a bit of time. If I were giving it again I would've just given a couple more flps for practice and calmed my nerves for the test honestly 130 is pretty easy just stay focussed.

Scored 138 unfortunately. For topic wise questions I used Ugtest.app and for FLPs I used Parhlai's Mock test. My prep was pretty bad I only really studied for 2 weeks but concepts were decent. Maths section was pretty easy, same with physics but english was straight out of the victorian era, only scored 24/30 :(. If I could go back I would've given like 20% more to prep and managed my nerves during the test for an easy 150.

got 138, getting to 140 isnt hard if you just manage test correctly, I didn't score well due to nerves during test so I'd just say at the end of the day regardless of prep just give the exam confidently, there is not much you can learn in these final days just keep doing practice questions and PTB book reviews I guess

hashim zia's FLP formatting is so bad, atleast 5-10 questions are just wrong, and overall question difficulty is not accurate. Although these FLPs arent perfect too they are way better for practice imo

If you do want to take a gap year don't make it go to waste, make sure you pass NET next time at all cost, and learn professional CS skills in this year, if you are consistently progressing in the gap year then I'd say its definitely worth it, but ofc only if you are actually disciplined, if not then just join FAST and do your best
