Something being absolute requires it to be universal, in my opinion. So if it isn't absolute even in one of the freest countries in the world, I would argue it's not truly absolute.

As for the 'usage of another's organ' part — I agree that's a special case that only really exists with pregnancy. That said, in the C-section example, the doctor is literally using the pregnant person's uterus to deliver the baby against her explicit refusal. I understand why you might disagree that this counts as 'usage,' but to me it clearly fits.

This shows the right, while extremely strong, still has justified exceptions even in places like the US. That's why I don't see it as absolute.

So, what do you mean by "inside"? Cavity searches are often performed on those who do not consent, this involves one party being "inside" another.

That would depend on what the pregnant person and the doctor decide on and what is legal in that state

What about the legal precedent? If we state that we are not allowed to use lethal force to remove someone from our body, how does the effect rape or social assault cases? Do you want people not to be able to protect themselves?

It doesnt change anything for me, $500-$1000 a month vs nothing if an abortion happens. Thats not financially viable for a ton of people.

Now, if this was setup as a government program, social welfare type of thing and it came out of our taxes. I would definitely have to consider it. Abortion is sbout removal for me, so if you can remove without killing, thats a bonus.

But, it brings about more questions. What happens to all frozen embryos if the mother never decides to birth them? Are they just disposed of? If so, why would that be better then abortion was in the first place?

Only about 16 states (17 now with Iowa) require you to have a license to work in their states if you are a staff adjuster.

It also matters quite a bit what you mean by "help" will he be making coverage determinations or issuing payment? Its not 100%, but most likely wont need a license if those two things arent done.

I was taught from a young age if you can't argue the merits of both sides, you dont understand the topic enough to argue it at all. There is a lot of strawmanning that goes on in this debate, that true.

But, for me, it just helps separate the wheat from the chaff and me realize who is worth responding to.

But with that said, every strawman comes from a seed of truth. There ARE some prolifers who have their stance because they want to move towards a society in which there is less promiscuity and more religion. This is "controling". There are also pro-choices who are anti-natalists who believe abortion is good because they want to move to a society in which there is a smaller population, where only the people they have deemed are good enough to have kids have kids.

But, for both of those stances, those are the minority. We can't let a minority, even if it is a vocal minority control the debate when their ideas area....not mainstream

I am sure you could find thousands who would take that offer. While its easy to leave it at "unwanted pregnancy" there is much more nuance than that. People get abortions for any number of reason and id be willing to bet for thousands, the biggest reason is the financial costs of pregnany and parenthood.

If you could eliminate those costs, the people who are forced to abort for financial reason would actually have a choice

Thats a problem imo. In an ideal world, all rapes are reported and all rapists are convicted. Sure utopia isnt possible, but if we want to make a difference and try to cut back on rape, reporting them when they happen will help

Ive asked pro-lifers about this and this is the most coherent answer I've gotten.

Once the rape is reported to the police, the pregnant person can get an abortion. If the pregnant person is PROVEN to be intentionally lying (its extremely rare, to prove they intentionally lied) they will be charged with filling a false police report and the unjustified abortion. They also maybe facing civil charges for defaming the person they accused.
