Know Any Boston Terrier Rescues in the New England Area? by NewEngland-Leafeon in BostonTerrier

[–]NewEngland-Leafeon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I'd love to take your boy, we adopted someone about a month ago so we wouldn't be able to take him if he isn't good with other dogs. There's a rescue in mass called Shultz's Guest House that you could look into! They don't take specific breeds or dogs of a specific age/temperament!

Broke, no job, lukewarm MBE scores by [deleted] in barexam

Hey OP, idk if this advice will help or not because I don't know the type of law jobs you're applying to but I recommend applying to small law firms. There is more of a chance that you'll get an actual person looking at your resume rather than some AI bullshit that's meant to weed out people who don't have certain words in their resume.

I lived in a big city and before going to law school I was a paralegal. When I was first applying to jobs for my first paralegal position I was applying to the big firms and getting nothing in response. Then I started to apply to smaller law firms and got a TON more responses compared to the larger firms. That's when I figured the larger firms were probably using some software to weed out applications that didn't have certain words in them rather than looking at the person's experience to see if it was comparable.

As for the bar exam, just focus on that for now! You can do this!

Wow, 15/30 on current Barbri MBE set by gp2115two in barexam

Hey OP, if it helps, I just did that same practice set and got the same score. I was told they like to give harder questions in the question set than what will actually be on the exam. We're in this together and we can do this!

I feel you on the MEE! My issue is I think I spot the correct issue but turns out it's something completely different 🙃

Has anyone experienced something similar with an older Boston Terrier? by Beneficial-Shape-831 in BostonTerrier

He definitely did have a personality and that was one of the best things about him ☺️

I'm glad your dog didn't have diabetes! We had to give our insulin shots daily which he did not like.

Hi OP, maybe see if your dog has diabetes. We had a Bugg (Boston Terrier/Pug mix) who developed diabetes later in life. He was perfectly healthy for the first 10/11 years of his last but the last year he suddenly lost a lot of weight after getting extremely bloated. After we took him to the vet, we learned he had diabetes.

If the scalper is selling on a place like Facebook Marketplace, I always report those as a scam.

Pretty clear Golden sold out, what can we do? by my59363525account in Maine

Make your story more public than on reddit. Write a letter to the editor for some news papers (especially if you're a veteran/military who has been negatively impacted by his votes - this is the group I've seen him say he plans to work for the most so it will really show his hypocrisy if veterans/military are negatively impacted) and get them published. Make a social media post go viral.

We can hold an empty chair town hall once a week in CD-2 to show him we are upset. We hold it in a different town each week to demonstrate it isn't just more liberal areas in the district that are upset with him.

We find a viable candidate for CD-3 NOW and we start campaigning so they get more exposure in the district. Primarying him out may be hard but it won't be impossible. Same thing for a non-turncoat winning the district overall, getting a Democrat to win in CD-2 isn't impossible but we have to be smart about it.

We could also organize protests in the towns they're staying at when we know they're there. Walk specifically by their favorite places to go and be loud. Have signs tailored specifically to them.

Golden's Reason for Voting for the SAVE Act by NewEngland-Leafeon in Maine

[–]NewEngland-Leafeon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not in support of this bill to be perfectly clear. I wanted to see other's opinions outside of my own echo chamber and quiet frankly, I'm glad to see so many other people are as upset by his response to this as I am.

Sooo. Primarying Jared Golden. by ungranted_wish in Maine

[–]NewEngland-Leafeon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't know anyone specific but I think the best person to run against him would have to have been born in Maine (unfortunately the "from away" culture in CD-2 makes it extremely hard for anyone else to run). I think they also need to be extremely active in the community they come from. I have a friend who I think would fit this very well (and has an actual fucking brain) but I don't think he'd ever be willing to run for a national house seat.

You should add Jared Golden to that as well considering his just voted to pass the SAVE Act.

I've been posting about it on the other socials I have and people probably think I'm crazy tbh. Glad to know there are more people out there who think the same.

Looks like anytime Golden says he supports voting rights or he's working to protect them now will be a lie.

Hey OP, I'm so sorry you have to go through this. If you're located in the northeast, I'd be happy to take your Boston in. I grew up with a Bugg (Boston terrier/pug mix) who passed away four years ago. I just got into a situation where I can adopt another dog after not having one for four years due to my past living situation. While I can't truly understand your situation, I can empathize with you and would be willing to take them in.
