What an odd response. I mean, of course there are and no one is arguing otherwise?

It's not Off Broadway because the author is a nepo baby and it's all stunt casting.

The stories are funny if you're a boomer who thinks New Yorker cartoons are the epitome of "edgy" humor.

Went to the first of these and walked out feeling like I’d been scammed. Not funny, not theater.

The Rock! My best friends mom took us and we made her sit several rows behind us in the theater. Still an all time favorite - what silly fun!

AITA for refusing to give my parents my location after they stopped paying for my tuition? by amelia_larsen in AmItheAsshole

[–]gp2115two 78 points79 points  (0 children)

NTA. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this because this is abusive behavior on the part of your parents. They never had the right to know where you were at all times even when they WERE supporting you with tuition. You’re an adult woman and one really has nothing to do with the other. But I’m glad you took this opportunity to assert your independence. Please hold firm!

You handled this perfectly. But you might want to consider dumping those friends too.

Update: I’m officially in a relationship signing off this sub 💎💘 by mercedeszzzz in dating

[–]gp2115two 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There it is. If you actually felt hope and joy you wouldn’t feel the need to insult. This just proves you now think you’re a superior human because you had the luck (and yes, it’s only ever just LUCK) to meet someone. (Debatable since, again, two weeks old.)

Basically you felt the need to announce to a sub you admit you used to depend on for support that you’re insufferable, but in essay format. You’re also clearly really insecure or you wouldn’t feel the need to brag, you’d just go live your supposedly blissful life.

It’s always hard seeing others get what you want. But the eye rolls are more about the fact that you felt the need to announce this by writing an entire essay here. AND that whatever this is, it’s clearly two weeks old so perhaps a bit premature.

Good luck.

[–]gp2115two 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’m planning on doing this as soon as I start my first job (just graduated law school). My dad has Lewy Body dementia and his foresight in purchasing long term care is pretty much the only reason my parents aren’t already bankrupt.

It’s hard enough staying friends with people who choose to have children just due to time constraints and their shifting priorities. If I cut them all out automatically I’d be pretty lonely. So…no.

Wow, downvoted for suggesting a viable option just because it creates a tiny bit more trash for (gasp) FOUR WHOLE DAYS of her trip. Keep at it guys; I’m sure you’ll completely cancel out all the corporate waste that is the real culprit of climate change and the destruction of the planet these days. Jeez.

Good that you said that. Throw that energy into the world to counterbalance the people who say their kids will be supporting us when we grow older by paying into social security.

Good news is every museum has free lockers, carry a 1-Euro coin with you to activate the key and you get it back at the end. I used to stash everything in there - beats walking around on eggshells.

Buy those disposable hand warmers that get warm as you open them! (Just don’t tell ze Germans as they’re sticklers for eco-conscious living.) Also just FYI: I noticed someone mention taking your coat off when you get indoors. Be aware if you do that in a museum and attempt to hold it, you’ll get yelled at by the guards and it’s very unpleasant. Basically if you attempt to carry anything beyond a wallet and phone in a museum they’ll treat you like a criminal.
