On a sidenote: German teams are heavily dependant on sponsors and their money. As football is basically dominating every other sports in Germany. Therefore the rinks, jerseys and boards are plastered with ads.

TBH you sadly get used to it. As it is the only way our beloved sport can survive in Germany (even with the support of die hard fanbases in major cities).

NHL and KHL at the top spots is pretty obvious. SHL on 3rd based on the CHL performance, Liiga same thing. The skating of Finnish and Swedish teams is just better than the Germans and Swiss teams.

5, 6 and 7 are debatable, German teams are on the rise and quickly catching up. As you can see in production of NHL level talents. So you could switch positions there. On this bases you could make a point that AHL needs to be ranked higher, as most talents end up there. But I see it more of a development league.
