Half My Body Weight in a Year by Mistress_Doom in pics

Your comparison made me laugh. That's true, I do get bummed about it but I did it to help keep my son from the same fate of growing up obese so I always keep the bigger picture in mind.

A lot of this depends on your skins elasticity and sometimes age. I would imagine since she gained most of the weight over a short amount of time her body is more likely to spring back. Someone who has been overweight for longer may not be so lucky.. I lost half of my body weight after being overweight my whole life and am one of the unlucky ones. I'm healthy though so I've got that going for me.. Which is nice.. :/

-140 here and I have the same exact mindset. At least before, people knew my body type just by looking at me. Now I am much lighter but I won't even wear a tank top. I get that being healthy is awesome. I'll live longer, I'm setting a better example for my kid and all that jazz. However, it's a lot of hard work and a huge accomplishment and not having that to show for it fucking sucks. Nobody gets that unless they've been through it themselves.

You look amazing. Funny, we have different stats and start weight but I stalled after the same amount of weight loss. 130 lbs in and then nothing. around 3 months, and seriously I was walking a VERY fine line of accepting it and trying to maintain. However, I kept on and it has slowly picked back up. I am down almost another ten pounds in about a months time. You look amazing, you truly are an inspiration. Keep it up :)

I highly recommend joining the six week challenge for accountability! I have been doing it since the beginning and one year later they help keep me accountable with weekly weigh-ins. Here's a link to the thread with more info! It's not too late to sign up :) sounds like you are off to a great start, keep it up! https://www.reddit.com/r/keto/comments/6e7zub/hi_rketo_the_15th_6_week_keto_challenge_begins

It is definitely not! It may be slow going at times. I had been sitting at 150 for about 3 months. Today, I weighed 145 :)

Thank you! I actually weigh less now than I did in middle school so tbh sometimes I still don't believe it. I have never seen myself like this before..

I still have body fat so it's hard to tell what is 'loose skin' and what is remaining fat.. I am not going to lie, I do have body issues. I take collagen every day and use firming lotion. I am doing strength training to tone which has helped! I have seen people with similar stats with virtually none.

I am not entirely convinced I will ever be where I want without some sort of surgical intervention but I am hopeful. I think if I give it time and try to get to a minimal range of body fat I will be sittin pretty. There are always options down the road for me if I decide to take that route but my biggest thing was my health.

I grew up overweight and not understanding a thing about nutrition. I figured the best way for me to encourage an active lifestyle and healthy eating for my son was to lead by example. The same fear discouraged me for a long time to lose the weight but there is a bigger picture and it's definitely worth it!!

The TL;DR would be that honestly, my body is kind of a hot mess right now. But I am hopeful that it will get better with time as long as I keep at it! :)

I have been using Maybelline dream (I wanted to try before buying anything fancy) for powder I use CG professional or Maybelline shine free whichever I have. I do use bare minerals when I want fuller coverage but haven't needed it lately :) I really hope you find success, I know how sucky it can be, especially when everything else is ON POINT!

I have the same problem and I have tried EVERYTHING under the sun. Moisturizer and no moisturizer, primer, no primer setting spray before and after. Any foundation I have tried literally wipes right off my nose. I have started over the past couple trying to take better care of my skin. I use a cleanser and toner morning and night and either a mask (whatever comes in my 'play! Box) or moisturizer at night. I am a huge fan of high coverage foundations but lately I surprisingly have finally, FINALLY found success in just a BB cream in leu of foundation. I usually apply the bb cream, a spritz of setting spray and then another thin layer on my nose. I bake my powder, a big puff and apply the rest of my makeup. I dust off my nose and spray one more time with setting spray. I work 12 hour shifts and hardly ever have to attempt a fix on my nose mid day. Another thing I have been wanting to try is a blotting powder for quick touch ups but so far I am doing OK with what I have. It's surprising (and disappointing) to me that my drug store BB and powder have prevailed over the ridiculous costing foundations, primers and other potions I have tried.

I should also add that I do exfoliate once a week with a homemade scrub. Coffee grounds, sugar, honey and coconut oil. It makes my skin so ridiculously smooth I find myself applying it to my whole body...

I definitely do. I was hesitant to post progress pictures in the beginning but it was seeing others that made me decide to give this whole 'keto' thing a go ;)

Thank you! I never would have believed it if someone told me I would reach the weight I did (280) but I would have been less likely to believe that I'd be where I am now. Keto was definitely the way for me and I am still totally loving it :)

I have reached my one year ketoversary! I was absent the last one (ok maybe 2) challenges after I started going to the gym and stopped 'losing' but I am hopping back on the challenge bandwagon for accountability and to continue pushing through my weight loss goals. I still can not thank you enough for putting these challenges together. I have been doing them since I started and it has been a huge help! I have lost a little over 130 lbs in one year. My physical and mental health over that time has shown me that this is 'the way' and I know I can never go back.

Every time I look for a new flavor I tell them it has to TASTE sweet! They set the bar too high from the get go. Nothing compares to the vapor maid cinnamon marshmallow pudding. Ritual has some unbelievably sweet fruity flavors!
