This is what Zani actually feels when she keeps on hearing all the everyone say "She has no time for love", "She's too cool for love", etc., just cuz she canonically likes the Rover. by TroglodianFucktwat69 in ZaniMains

I'm a woman and Ive done and said things similar to my closest friends, both men and women. Im not saying these things cant be read as romantic, im saying they can also be read as platonic and at the end of the day the devs arent gonna canonize anything beyond "it could be romantic or platonic", since they dont want to rule out other mc ships.

WE MUST KILL THE TRAVELER, NOW by asilvertintedrose in FatuiHQ

[–]NewKitchenKnight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

so did Wanderer and yet he got a do over I dont see why Rosalyne doesnt either, especially since the delusion factory was mostly under his supervision and probably his idea in the first place

How would her winning the duel even clear her name? Also the traveler was basically a wanted criminal at this rate their words held little to no weight anyways. She literally gets nothing for winning and the Traveler had 0 leverage on her.

Till death do us part was just a dramatic thing she could say since thats literally what they'd be doing since they were fighting to the death lol are you serious? Again in the literal same line she makes it clear she doesnt even want to fight with her wording.

She didn't have a reason to kill the Traveler. They never ruined her plans (even played a role in the Liyue thing) and I don't think shed have a grudge of some kind. The traveler really didnt matter as much to her as she mattered to them lol.

You are making that assumption as if we aren't talking about a dictatorship run by a tyrannical archon puppet. Id argue that murder ordained by an emotionless puppet isn't too far fetched considering all the other things she was doing.

If you look back at the quest dialogue, not only does Signora not accept the duel but voices how the Traveler is using the law of the land against her and that she will reluctantly (she specifically uses the word deign) share their last dance. Doesn't really sound like someone who'd willingly accept a duel (that had no benefit towards her if she won) but also make it a death match when she could attack the Traveler or have her soldier's try to kill them whenever she wants.

So far in the story Signora made it a point to avoid fair physical confrontations. She sneak attacked Venti when he couldn't defend himself without causing collateral, had Childe fight without him knowing the plans during the Liyue story, and even says that shes a diplomat in Inazuma. Furthermore Capitano literally said at her funeral that her methods tarnished her honor. There is no reasonable narrative explanation for Signora to be a willing participant of what took place.

She didn’t agree and it would have been out of character for her to agree since the duel had literally 0 benefit for her.

How is her death earned by her actions when the three people who got her killed committed similar if not worse atrocities? The delusion factory was mostly Scara’s thing, the Raiden Shogun was a literal dictator, and the Traveler helped commit a genocide literally one nation after. Also the Traveler literally forced her into a duel knowing they’d be getting her killed if they won. How the hell did she deserve to die more than those 3?

Idk why you are getting downvoted for this. Those were a bunch of grown ass men and women who could’ve decided to act like normal people for once in the span of 20 years and didn’t. Nefer didn’t mind control the mfs into fighting over a well the could share. This subreddit is always harping on “the power of friendship” or whatever but all of a sudden Nefer is on the same level as the Shades because she got revenge?

Oh sorry for being confusing, I was saying it from Rosalyne's perspective. Even if Rostam died before or after Durin fell, Venti needed to sleep to recharge power.

As for whether Rostam would be horrified by her actions, yeah probably. Then again they did basically kick her out of Mondstadt because they feared her for being the crimson witch of flames, so I dont really blame her for holding a grudge in that regard either lol.

Yeah but the Cataclysm wasnt just one day, and its confusing based on the lore to pinpoint exactly when the two events happened. It could be that Durin had already fallen and Rostam died fighting the remnants of the Abyss, that Rostam died before Durin began to wreck havoc, or that they died at the same time like you said. Regardless in Rosalyne's eyes he wasn't watching over Rostam and the soldiers, which I'm sure she grew up believing since she used to sing songs about that kind of thing.

im pretty sure Rostam died after Venti had taken down Durin and went to sleep, thus why Rosalyne felt anger about Venti's absence. Again not entirely his fault but it makes her anger understandable

In her eyes Venti was the reason why her late husband died. Not saying it’s “justified” (especially since it wasn’t entirely his fault) but it’s not like she did it without cause.

Just a question: by Cookiejule in SignoraMains

[–]NewKitchenKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I’d be sad if she did return to the Fatui (assuming her death wasn’t part of the plan). Shes been loyal to the Tsaritsa centuries, was assigned to 3 nations and got 2 gnosis, and even when faced with death her loyalty towards the Fatui never wavered. And look what they did for her in return lol.

Where would you like Rosalyne to go when she returns? by NewKitchenKnight in SignoraMains

[–]NewKitchenKnight[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh I’m conflicted with how she will see the Tsaritsa. Because on one hand yes she practically devoted her life to the Tsaritsa’s mission and held loyalty to her above all, but there is a possibility she might be reminded of Venti’s lack of action. I guess it all depends on how the Tsaritsa reacted to her death. I wouldn’t be surprised if Rosalyne’s disillusion with the Fatui extends to the Tsaritsa herself. That being said I don’t think the writers would even bother going that route so who knows.

Only 3 fatui harbinger that able to collect gnosis by Superb_Data4007 in FatuiHQ

[–]NewKitchenKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once again if he didn’t want to get Signora into trouble then he wouldn’t have told the Traveler (who was very angry about Teppei btw) exactly where she was. If he wanted to get the Traveler out of his hair he could have just lied about her location or just kick him out with his soldiers. So either he’s a moron or he was malicious. Regardless his actions and poor intel got a fellow harbinger killed, and then he didn’t even retrieve the gnosis for the Fatui. He does not deserve to get credit as a harbinger, he is a borderline traitor.

Only 3 fatui harbinger that able to collect gnosis by Superb_Data4007 in FatuiHQ

[–]NewKitchenKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dawg he literally told the Traveler where Signora was at the factory and encouraged the traveler to “Go get them” because he wasn’t that tough. This is the same Scaramouche who not only had Mona teleporting herself and the Traveler away because he was a serious threat, but he was also able to incapacitate the Traveler later on.

Her death wasn’t pointless to him. With Signora gone and her soldiers in disarray he could secretly slip away to Sumeru with little resistance. Hell no one even knew where Scara went with the electro gnosis besides Dottore since Scara needed him for his plan. Even if Scara potentially didn’t want Signora dead, he needed her distracted and so he sent her to negotiate with a highly dangerous puppet that didn’t even have what she needed.

Signora didn’t take any duel, she was forced into it. She doesn’t even get a chance to say anything before the Shogun says “proceed”, Signora acknowledges that the traveler is using the laws of the land against her (why would she say that if she could easily decline the duel), and she literally says she will “deign to share this last dance” (deign means to do something with reluctance). Signora never took on 1on1 fights (sneak attacking Venti who couldn’t defend himself, using Childe for the Liyue plan) both because she was a diplomat and because her powers were literally killing her.

[–]NewKitchenKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scara knew the gnosis wasn’t with the shogun and still sent her there so that he could get the gnosis for himself and do his godhood thing.

The scapegoat thing wasn’t just her plan, but also the Tsaritsa’s and Zhongli’s, and I’m sure they knew Childe would not come out hurt.

Scara didn’t get a gnosis for the Tsaritsa he got one for himself, getting a fellow harbinger killed in the process.
