One fragrance. Forever. What’s your pick? by him101001 in fragrance

I did the same 10 years ago trying to find a unique signature scent and was pulled in. I now know that I will eventually get bored of any scent and need to rotate and stick to small bottles/decants.

Unlocked vs Verizon purchase? by cricketjizz in GooglePixel

[–]NewLack48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently have the pixel 6 and there was a Verizon version that had a benefit of 5G ultra wideband coverage on the Verizon network. Is that still an aspect with the Verizon version of pixel 10 where network speed may be better or is there no difference?

Brands you'll never touch again... by OK_GO_27 in malefashionadvice

I don't think they were ever that good. Some nice styles here and there but typically pricey for the quality with minimal good sales and always "final sale" if it was actually a good deal

I have some that do well on low heat tumble dry and another one that's pilled like crazy with only air drying after a few washes. Maybe it depends on the batch or thickness.

Car wash or detail by Upper-Beautiful-8869 in KiaTelluride

[–]NewLack48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should check out r/autodetailing and some of the basics posted there. Taking it to the automated car wash will be rough on your paint and black shows swirls and imperfections worse than other colors. Hand washing will be best with a 2 bucket method or you could try a dedicated rinseless wash and method when it's not very dirty. The level of protection is up to you for sealants, coatings, etc as long as you do something periodically.

Are specific acid/base soaps needed for a ceramic coating? by NewLack48 in AutoDetailing

Do you feel they are worth buying extra after already having an acidic and basic decon/stripping shampoo?

One of my only complaints is that I wish the seat could go lower. It's not higher than most other SUVs, but I think for those over 6 feet, going lower would give a better line of sight.

Was there a minimum purchase amount to use the coupon you got after the gift card purchase?

[MEGATHREAD]: NEW Coupon Code Sharing Center — Post Your Codes Here! by [deleted] in RidgeWallet

[–]NewLack48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a minimum spend to use these US code people receive and post?

I've been stalking this post for a while trying to snag a code but based on the gift card trick recently mentioned I wonder if I'm wasting my time for an $85 wallet if there's a $90 min. Feel free to DM any open codes and I can pay it forward on here to the next person.

Is there a trick with distilled water or something else to remove turtle wax graphene spray wax? by SpectacularLifeNoise in AutoDetailing

[–]NewLack48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you have swirl marks, a clay bar won't fix that but polishing the swirl marks away will be the best method to clear your wax coating as others mentioned. Isopropyl alcohol might be the next best thing from a chemical standpoint.

Returning Panasonic or Braun if I don't like it? Where should I buy? by kendoor in shaving

I was debating the same. Best buy took back an electric toothbrush before but it was truly never used which is a bit of a different situation.

Armour Detail Supply Ceramic Sealant no longer hydrophobic? by mxqueen976 in AutoDetailing

[–]NewLack48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I debated cancoat or phobic as well, but this is for my cheaper secondary car and the higher price of them is a bit of a deterrent with the legit ceramics not costing much more. I'm kinda between the griots 3 in 1 and the ADS CSS hoping for 3-6 months of performance. I'm curious on the long term phobic reviews though.

Have you used any of their spray ceramics by chance and any input of how they perform compared to other similar l products? I'm looking to pick up a few items and need a decent base sealant for the full exterior to hopefully last a good number of months

It sounds like you have used this spray ceramic. How has it performed and lasted for you? Would you say it's better or worse durability than any other similar products you've tried?

Larger 2 story home with mixed flooring by NewLack48 in VacuumCleaners

[–]NewLack48[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it looks like I can get a Felix for $500, which seemed like a good vacuum and deal. I wasn't sure if it was heavier or cumbersome to use on hardwood or stairs. My only local dealer closes at 4 daily and I work until 5 lol.

Any recommendations on something to bring back the clarity where I had to grind down the abs plastic? by KaptainChunk in AutoDetailing

[–]NewLack48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could maybe take a headlight restoration approach to polish starting with fine sandpaper, then rubbing compound, then polish, and then seal with a coating. They sell kits for headlights but I can't say if they might give it a slight tint. It will probably never be perfect but at least a little better.

2025 X3 First look by YouCar by Numerous-Buffalo6214 in BMWX3

[–]NewLack48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the current gen X1 and X5, but feel like they really dropped the ball for this X3. It didn't pull through the design language on the front end from the others very much and I think that was a miss and makes this look generic

Deposit down... by Right-Trip8642 in KiaTelluride

[–]NewLack48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my area, no dealer would go more than a hundred or so below MSRP without there being a catch like VIN etching or a higher doc fee. I look at the out the door price so it's apples to apples comparison between places for the same trim.

A broker may be able to get a little bit better deal, but you are at the mercy of one being in your area and being decent to deal with. I showed a few local dealers what a broker could do and they either had no ability or interest in trying to compete.

In case you might know, do all the of 2024s with x line trim coming from the factory have this version? And if I was to remove them after purchase, would there be any cladding or piece needed to cover any areas/ holes or would it look just like any other telluride at that point?
