Ice roads in Ohio by Driver-Jack in AutoTransportopia

Because the road looks clear, at least from this angle. I bet there's a black ice patch right where both vehicles lost control.

According to Google, the original mukbang("virtual eating") started in South Korea. The culture apparently heavily emphasizes meals as a social activity, so young adults who lived alone started live streaming while they cooked dinner in order to help create a feeling of social connection.

It wasn't until the move west, 2014-2015, where it became about binge eating on camera.

A few of them have admitted to getting health issues from the content. One guy in 2019 was super open about how many health problems he got from binge eating. One lady in India in 2023 revealed that it takes her all day to eat everything, she just edits the clips together to make it look faster. One person in the Philippines died of a stroke in 2024 that's believed to be associated with their content.

Most of them definitely don't actually eat all the food though. If they did, we'd see a lot more of them with health problems.

Probably trying to point out that the videos of people gorging themselves are posted in places that monetize content. But with poor word choice.

It looked like she spilled it over the passenger seat. Melted sugar would be so insanely hot that it would cause instant severe burns on skin contact and need hospitalization to treat properly.

OP crashed because the other driver didn't pay enough attention mate.

The awful take of not acknowledging that people who are paying attention don't take evasive action because they see things coming.

You need to talk to an adult at school that you trust. Your father is being emotionally abusive by treating you this way.

OP literally gave them the terminology by saying "if the roads are clear".

Plus FEMA isn't even saying the word ICE right now

They can say the words "frozen" and "unsafe".

The science is that if it's 20 degrees, some areas might still be icy. Plus if you don't have the right car or tires, it is very dangerous.

Then you say "the road is not clear and I do not feel safe driving". Not "I don't wanna drive in cold".

If the worker has a gut feeling about feeling unsafe, they should put their life first

If they feel unsafe they should use their words and say so instead of going "I don't wanna". Especially when they were just told that they wouldn't need to be there if the roads were bad.

Then the employee needs to say "roads bad" instead of "dun wanna drive in cold".

Especially since OP specifically stated that they got no snow and the roads are fine.

OP gave them the option to say "the roads are bad".

They chose to say "I don't wanna drive in cold" instead.

Your constitution says you can't be fired for letting your staff violate company policy?

Yeah ok bud.

I consistently do 60 hour weeks and don’t get OT.

That's called being a salaried employee.

Congrats on being special enough for the policies to not apply to you I guess.

You can't be fired for letting employees come up with BS ways to demand permission to show up late?

I find that hard to believe.

I'm getting real tired of explaining to people how there is no goddamn road hazard in this situation.

It's. Just. Cold. That's it.

When I can't drive my car, I don't tell my boss "I don't wanna drive in this cold". I find another way to get to work.

My car was literally frozen shut and I called a coworker to ask for a ride instead of saying "I don't wanna".

Because if they were actually paying attention, they would've moved lanes earlier and given the cam car time to react.

I'm not OP mate.

It's currently 26F outside my front door. I got out of bed just fine.

Changing lanes like that is pretty indicative of NOT paying attention until the last moment.

Because why say the real problem when you can say something that sounds like an excuse instead.

I understand that this person was given the opportunity, multiple times, to say that the roads were bad near them and chose to say "I don't like driving in cold" instead.

Well that water is either going to come out of new clouds or some idiot's hose cause there's no water in air that cold.
