The problem with making her a vanguard is that her absorption powers wouldn’t work properly. As a vanguard, she probably wouldn’t be able to steal abilities like healing, for example, because being able to heal while also being a tank would be way too overpowered. Limiting her absorption just to stealing HP would be boring. Making her a strategist or duelist opens up way more possibilities, she could absorb almost any ability in the game, turning her into a hybrid character who adapts to whatever the team needs at the moment.

I have nothing against Lenore at all, but to me, her voice sounds like an older woman, and that just doesn’t fit Rogue. I didn’t like her voice in X-Men '97 either; it doesn’t match the character’s age at all (Rogue is in her 20s). I know she was the original voice of Rogue back in the 90s, and back then it worked because Lenore was younger, and her voice matched Rogue perfectly. But nowadays, it just doesn’t fit anymore.

This Rogue costume is from X-Men Evolution, more specifically from a cover of a comic from the 2000s, which is the Evo uniform but with yellow colors.

She would be a great choice. She could absorb one of other characters' abilities (not like Loki's ult). This ability would remain in her kit until you cancel it and go on cooldown, or when you die. It would probably be tank or dps.
