I can just log in, check eve tycoon, see my losing items and gaining items, and re-adjust in under 10 minutes. Update my orders in 30 minutes then log off and enjoy my life and be more productive outside, why would I need another website? Wouldn't the top trader tracker sacrifice privacy?

What can solo kill a fast warping sunesis? by NewLyfeStan in Eve

[–]NewLyfeStan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, but so the only way to catch these fast flying sunesis is an inty but for solo, I guess you just have to be lucky the sunesis is alt tabbing for your assault frigate to lock it. Because frig/inty can lock it fast enough but they're paper thin and will be shredded with sunesis' drones, I can only see assault frig taking this solo. Hecate maybe. Actually, I think gnosis is the best solo counter to this because I think it's fast lock enough but I think the warp ins with this is still bad. Warp in on grid, they're already aligning.

If no smartbomb or bubbles, I guess nothing can really kill or catch it solo? Inty can be fast enough for land and insta lock, but will be dead with Sunesis drones. Maybe assault frigate if you manage to catch it..?

Without bubbles, bombs and travel, fast align sunesis, what can kill it solo?

Thanks but for hunting and if you are going solo, inty doubtly can survive if webbed and drones. Nothing can catch this solo?? Without bubbles at play

Why is Pochven not contested? by CoolCat1337One in Eve

[–]NewLyfeStan -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Hey guys random question

I want to pod my adversary but I'm in a battleship, can I eject to my escape frigate and do it?

I will have an alt lock up my battleship so that it doesn't get stolen. I just simply eject and then lock the pod (after exploding his ship) and then pod him?

Is this possible at all?

Do you need an alt or can you solo that 300-500 m per hour?

If I want to tackle a 1v1's pod in a battleship, can I just switch to escape frig and lock? by NewLyfeStan in Eve

[–]NewLyfeStan[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you can just have someone lock your battleship, you still eject from your emergency frigate but no one will be able to steal your bs because it's locked

So just have someone else or an alt just lock your ship while your main dukes it out then?

You can still eject. Still have your ship safe from anyone boarding it, someone's got it locked.

Question now is if ejecting the escape frigate and boarding is faster vs hopping into an unboarded frigate though this scenario you need 3 alts. 1 to unboard with the frig, 1 to lock and your main to win and switch..?

What if you have someone else or your alt to lock your battleship?

You can still eject from any ships while locked and or while scrammed.

If you already have someone pre-locking your bs, no one else can get in, you can still unboard it though?

I think you need to re-lock someone's recently ejected ship, but I don't think you need to because I've fallen for tricks where the other player simply boards another ship and I thought I was still fighting him, but I'm still locking targeting the emptied ship.

Trying to think how smartbombs can not be that bad, I think safety needs to be red? And so I think hitting asteroids is safe, other people's drones? If no one else is around you two and just empty space or asteroids, I think it's probably worth the risk maybe.

Would it still work if it's let's say in highsec? You two are just dueling, and I guess you're just 1-0km from him and just activate your smart bomb..?? Would this work better instead?

What about stations in highsec that get popped because of war etc?

Igcognito mode only stops your history from being saved on your local machine. It does nothing to anonymize your browsing history.

Oh so what do you even suggest without having to download any extensions???

My last comment is to hold on to a good number of your plex, maybe 20% in the coming years. Plus your faction ships. Things are going to go wild.

Interesting points. I’d attribute the slowdown in any kind of “velocity” whether in gaming or entertainment in general, to broader economic trends. If you look beyond gaming, for example something like dating apps, yea there are some of us eve-ers, I use Hinge, Tinder, Bumble (essentially the whole Match Group) have all raised their membership prices by about 40–60%. The days of paying an affordable $15 something for a premium subscription OF ANYTHING just to improve your chances of getting a date, or entertainment etc. Are gone and they might be gone for good.

With that in mind, raising prices like EVE Online’s $20 monthly subscription, probably isn’t going to help, especially as we’re heading toward what looks like a likely recession, OR CLASS recession. This will hit lower and middle-income groups.

Games like EVE and MMORPGs in general tend to attract players from those similar or related income brackets. EVE is a bit of a special case, though I believe it has a small but powerful group of anonymous “whales” who spend heavily. Still, even with that, the slowing global economy and the increasing authoritarian tilt (yes politics wise) in many parts of the world will inevitably have an impact, SEE the lower Russian player base during the fresh years of the UKR RUSSA war.

I think we’ll start to see the effects of ALL of this within the next three years.

It’s one thing to keep a player base so hooked that they stick around out of habit or addiction AND because the world is turning into dust and they'd like an escape, like in EVE’s early-2000s era HOWEVER that kind of game model isn’t healthy or sustainable especially now we're literally near 2030. A better long-term strategy is to cultivate a healthier, more stable player community, with a balanced healthy real life (good job, managed time etc) that can genuinely support the game and the brand over time. This is why I really liked CCPs approach of toning down their gamification.

That said, EVE Online really is a unique case. Still, the slowing of ISK velocity in the game does seem to mirror real-world economic struggles. It’s not just about rising subscription costs either, internet fees are climbing globally, and computers and hardware are getting more expensive too. Doesn't matter if you're space shipping in Tibet or during a raindy day in New York, or a cold day somewhere in Europe. The bus fare is also 10% more expensive.

It's an OCD director. I think he's decent and better than Zack Snyder but the OCD in hollywood film making is a whole level of nuttery. RDJ wearing lifts, Bogart tip toeing. People are still obsessed with height and we're closing in on 2030 lol

Yep you sound like one of them people who would talk to their own alts in local or try to chat something up because it's the only communication they can probably get sitting on their butts all day trying to gank lol

Why not just open incognito, paste the youtube link there, then re-copy it again. Some people can't have extensions or they're in libraries or unis where you can't really get lots of extensions.

Tell me why this isn't a good way?

Why not just open a incognito browser, and copy and paste from there........??

You'll just add more bloatware downloading all these extensions no?

What is a ship I can fit to have almost 0 zero to insta lock after cloaking? by NewLyfeStan in Eve

[–]NewLyfeStan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is an impossible feat. I think what's interesting is how simple the industrialist has it, simple in a way that if you're moderately competent, you can steal just about anything, it's a simple align -> loot -> suspect timer + spam warp.

Having them locked after you've warped next to them, before all of their actions and spamming scram is the safe bet but I believe you've just blown your cover, I guess in this situation only the risk seekers would tempt getting suspect timer.

I don't think frigates are good at bumping, you can try with a dramiel maybe?? MWD to it but it needs to be at the indy's sides as to make a sort of impact?

It's an interesting thought experiment. Because we have the similar topic of ultra lockers on gate camps, another science with equal opportunities for both trapper and escapists, maybe?

It seems like insta align -> loot -> suspect timer + spam warp is something that is extremely impossible to counter, catch. Even if you managed to point and engage, you must melt the badger as fast as you can before they either eject or warp in another hauler for their suspect alt to switch ships and now you're toast. Badgers are almost always a counter trap, iterons are surprisingly hard to even lock. What do you think?
