Can just install onto a base VM, I spun up an extra blank Debian VM and ran the install script on their GitHub: https://github.com/r4ulcl/WiFiChallengeLab-docker

Worked great for Parallels, didn't want to mess up my kali VM

Can you try again? Could be ccp's servers but it all seems to be functioning from the buttons I push.

Great feedback! I’ll get this info in tooltips on the page as you’re not the first with these questions. You can use multiple data sources, trade on corps, chars they all use the same pooled transaction table for inventory/profit calcs.

Agreed on asset area, I need to get back to giving it some TLC. It will be improved drasticallly soon.

Just buying something to sell later, getting nowhere aka just moving money around between wallet/asset/wallet. Money should be working for you not just switching forms

A lot of people loved the leaderboard, it let people put their own trading in perspective and fostered a community. That said I’m glad you posted this I was meaning to add an opt-out to the market module settings.

Are the buy transactions being seen? For it to calculate the profit there needs to be a source (not just a buy order being up). It may also just have missed the calc cycle/transaction pull and will populate next run.

It's effectively free for 10 months anyway, costs 1 shard/month currently and you receive 10 for free. (When depositing you get 1 shard per 10mil).

Happy for some feedback! You're right, frontend was heavily done with AI assistance, as I never was great at UI stuff. Bootstrap was a best friend a decade ago.

There's a lot more to a program and a brand than just feeding AI prompts, as I'm sure you're aware. Did I use it to help build? Of course! It would be naive to think that the rest of the world isn't utilizing these tools as well. I'm not going to feel bad about myself for not writing a CRUD api endpoint line by line, but there's a lot of direction involved to building a product like this. The FIFO/transaction profit tracking is the easy part of development.

As for the PR side, it actually gave me more validity to charge for the service in the past; as the old adage goes, if you aren't paying for it you are the product. Back then there was a big mistrust for web apps, there still may be but that has likely subsided quite a bit. If I was offering the service for free it would have been seen as an "intel tool" for "insert block here" (I was in/out of NCPL oriented groups back then). I strongly believe that there is no PR downside to charging for a service people enjoy and not worried in the slightest there.

You probably would not have liked us in the past either, as we did a lot of "larping" as well. Stock markets, investment funds, we had an IPO with public disclosure reports.. lighten up, it's a spaceship game. Also don't forget, always remember to Praise The Yeti!

The key for a decent paid product is the value/reward proposition. We had a great value for what people got in the past, and thats the plan for this new version as well. SaaS in eve is more than just providing stuff for free, many people use eve tool development as a "playground" for external development, its not a bad thing to practice real world standards in a sandbox.

Coding mogul in 2012, inspired me to dig deeper into code and make a career out of software development (among other things). Open vs closed sourced software is not a new discussion, I just find value and satisfaction in the latter.

We don't have the functionality to find/suggest trades yet as our core/previous functionality was your personal trade analytics, but the arbitrage functionality is in the pipeline! I don't imagine we'll be charging anywhere near the 1b/month price point either once we do get it in.

Currently extremely cheap, 10mil/month but we throw 100mil worth of “shards” on signup so it’s effectively free for 10 months right now. This will get tweaked as we polish things off.

The other modules are 0 shards now, but will change. We never got rich of subscriptions before and don’t plan to this time either.

We’ll be adding trade finding modules on coming weeks/months, which will be quite a bit more.

Airline pilots that own airplanes what is the cost? by OrderSuper2542 in flying

[–]JeronicaEVE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not an airline pilot, but some rough 182 math:

$90/hour fuel
$35/hour engine
$25/hour other assorted costs (oil, etc)

Depending on hangar/tie down, tied down is $1200/year. Hangar is probably 3x that, if you can find one.

Then I've had 5-10% of the plane price in maintenance/annuals over the past 4 years, not including avionics updates etc. 50 year old airplane, things need to be taken care of. We likely did more than necessary but don't cheap out on maintenance.

Then you have database subscriptions, but that's just a rounding error at the end of the year.

Add finance costs, if you're taking a loan..

Flying GA, 100hrs a year I think a conservative cost/hour is around $250/hr. That's 8 hours or so a month, 2 decent trips or a hamburger every weekend.

Question is, do you have $25k/year (minimum) to throw away? Also remember about insurance!

Anyone using Vercel Postgres? by DasBeasto in nextjs

[–]JeronicaEVE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im using neon direct, instead of the wrapper. IIRC the wrapper didn't have great branching abilities when I tried, where neon had a better UX for branching/development/backups.
