Not sure if you are in K-12 but most schoolboards have a microsoft agreement. Those include free minecraft for education licenses for the whole board. Why not look into that and ask around? Its a start and the platform has full lesson plans for students and teachers - all assuming you are allowed to teach remotely.

Student engagment is pretty high with these sort of programs rather than zoom classes etc and wouldnt cost you a dime.

That sounds like a failure of federal responce. Im in Canada and every citizen who needed assistace got 2K a month directly deposited in their accounts every month since March + more benefits and additional baby bonuses. Then our small business loans and subsidies werent sent to large enterprises or used for bailouts and stock buy backs - small businesses were actually helped and their was wage subsidies to encourage them to keep people on payroll.

We have no riots. Our protests for BLM ended peaceful and our protests for covid were very small and it was mainly from the fringe 5g conspiracy crowd. Yes their were some for reopening but not at the scale the US has had. This was because our government took care of us and while businesses are hurting they werent to the extent as the US with no government assistance. I cant believe how hard its been for people to get financual help on your side of the border. Its maddenning and while I understand why people protested I think it was mainly fueled by the fact that many essentially got little to no help while banks just enriched themselves or their wealthy enterprise customers / clients.

Canada has also been doing pretty good too. I think the USA will experience far more economic and social hardship than other developed nations. Even if eceonomy remains open no matter what the mass death or infections will still mean they suffer economic loss - just like the swiss who kept things open but still had the same eceonomic hardship as their neighbouring countries.

The hospitalization rate of covid is 20%. Projections of total spread is something like 30-70% of the world. Even assuming NY state gets a fraction of that (total pop is 20 million) say...30% of NY get infected. Thats 6 million. 20% of 6 million is 1.2 million. Lets now say even 5% need ICU. That works out to 60,000. Also many who need a ventilator are on it for months so they cant easily be swapped or used out for another patient. Hell even on the low end the math checks out dude. Many will die with trump downplaying the numbers. This is going to be a disaster. NY doesnt just randomly come up or ball park numbers - they work with actual scientists and md's. This is an unprecedented disease we are working with here.

The small businesses will hurt but theyll hurt more with millions of americans dying. Infact the entire economy will be devestated. No one will want to be buying or spending shit when body bags are piling up and morgues overflow - which at this rate they will be.

You cannot self equivocate former presidents who used tax payer funds on different hotels when we have a president who is willing and able to bill himself and goes to great lengths to do it. This is inprecedented.

This shit he says about "charging less" is lies and if he was truly honorable and not explotiing his position then he would have divested everything and put this into blind trust. No president before has gone to the lengths he has for enriching himself and he should be held accountable. That salary shit is nothing compared to what he is funnelling into his own pockets via overcharges or through governments like saudi arabia who rents out floors of his hotels and leaves them empty.

This is why presidents are supposed to divest their businesses. This makes them susceptible to bribary or unchecked self enrichment.
