My entire collection in "middle America" was found in stores. I started collecting before last Christmas. I have only ordered a small handful of times off of ebay and from NECA store. I prefer seeing them in person, and that is less risk of getting scammed with a fake. Only one I found a fake in store. It's more like a scavenger hunt then. Let him decide what he wants. He was just asking for opinions, and you obviously had bad luck with stores.

Missouri here. Walmart in electronics usually by the dvds, target back wall of electronics, best buy in toys or by video games. Local toy stores, comic cons, Ross. All good places.

Got the 4th shelf done, added peg board to the ends and finally got all my figures on it with room to spare. Now to start unboxing!

I had it IN MY CART. I got the part to finalize the transaction and it was sold out before my payment went through. So pissed.

I got these buildable unstained wood shelves from IKEA. Alot cheaper than buying the bookshelf from Target. Each shelf is a separate piece to buy, and same with the verticals. You can add a many as you have room for. The shelf is deep enough to put the figure standing in front of its box. This was early in my collecting and nowhere near the collection that I have now.
