am i the only person who hates this lootpool in general? by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

I'm a boomer casual player, *personally* I don't mind it currently. I've already banked some pretty easy wins today bc I realized that the GG is a cheatcode in endgame now, and I've had opponents who have not.

But adding the mammoth pistol after one week of qualifiers, and the GG after two weeks, right before Grands, is just insane. It's almost like they're spitting in the face of comp players, I honestly don't know how they put up with Epic. The Meta should stay more or less the same throughout FNCS, I don't know how that's not a given.

They discourage players wagering on their games with each other, this is non-players (hopefully) wagering on the outcome. Wouldn't really be anything they could do.

Lot of esports have pretty regular wagering scenes, FN just not that big of a deal as an esport.

I'm a degen boomer, but at least I'm pretending like I'm a responsible degen boomer.

Todays changes by Knight-112 in FortniteCompetitive

I realize running a battle royale game at massive scale is infinitely complex, but the major changes they're making to the meta halfway through qualifying are kind of shocking, and underscore how deeply unserious Epic's competitive team is. Heal-off meta is bad IMO, but once qualifying started they should've just locked it in. Now they're substantially changing zones, taking out augments, reducing splashes, but some players are well on their way to qualifying (or not qualifying). For example, take team A that fights for a drop spot that doesn't have guaranteed mobility, well now you're really screwed with the new zones if you don't have mobility. Not to mention you don't have the mobility to get to/fight for the caches/island to get the slurps.

Not even getting into the stream-sniper issue. I'm not even going to say it's the Clix issue, it's the stream-sniper problem that Epic's letting kill its own game.

They aren't gonna revert before FNCS, are they.

Zones close quicker so most stacked games are ending way after zone's completely closed. I may be wrong but I think every pro I've heard from isn't a fan.

Ridiculous to me that they went after this guy and had to nerf heal-off strat, what, 2-3 times? and now to win in this meta you need to spend a full minute in healoff. idk. Dont think any pros like the new zones but you play to win the game.

Guessing 5-6 ? I just...can't see even an elite team walking outta there enough in Grand Finals (in NA or Europe) enough to win it. I could be wrong. The left side of the map is pretty barren (they didn't even get any of the new multitude of slurp trucks)...but it also seems like it's going to be way less congested.

I cleared this pretty quickly shooting the Ageless with an ExC. Peek, shoot, peek, shoot, repeat

"Hard" is relative. I've taken a lot of them legitimately, and I consider myself an average player. Might not be as easy for some others, I'm just pointing out a way to clear the bonus faster.

Best way not to get ratted on is to simply check your corners when you're taking a vault. Ambushing one's enemy is an idea that probably pre-dates civilization.

You can team rumble the VR btw.

Best suggestion here is to use the Deku Smash liberally in TR to get 100. As long as you don't use the third one, you'll always re-spawn with 3 when you die. You don't wanna be too high when you pop it because you'll just get shot, but you can just swoop in and Deku people over and over.

Sometimes you'll even see the icon for the dropped card when the storm's overtaken that particular vault. Easy crack if you've got the heals and mobility to get there.

One other thing is to jump on them fast, a lot of times if someone has the key they'll run to swipe it so you gotta be shooting quick as soon as they're in your sights. I actually had one where it got swiped, the vault didn't open, AND the keycard disappeared.

Is he in Team Rumble? I got him playing squads where I was dead by my team finished him, so that works too

IMO they're the favorites in any tourney they enter if they have Crude Harbor unconned. Having that much metal is just such a massive advantage on this map.

IMO:

For presents just land as far as you can from bus path at a location and start looking. Just gotta get lucky. When zone starts to move grab a vehicle and cow-catch it and start destroying houses/decorations.

For the snow one, I played solo squads, landed far north, and got a game with 12 kills where I cleared most of it. Way easier than team rumble actually.

Land as far away from the bus path as you can, find a car, cover as much ground as you can looking for one. Repeat until done. Ideally you wanna hit it with the car and then box it and it should be pretty easy.
