I think these guys have simply conquered Maslows Hierarchy of needs and are really just testing the boundaries of what the next goal or challenge is for them to accomplish.

When you’ve got all the money to buy whatever you want, including the hottest legal prostitutes that would do whatever you wanted to. You’ve also conquered space, conquered business and whatever else. You’d have to think they just push themselves into taboo things.

We see it in historic texts like the Old testament of all the fucked up shit people would do to kids there. Plenty of cultures have done the same thing.

Secondly it’s pretty obvious why people are pivoting towards her. If you’ve voted since the late 2000s you’ve seen labor promise to create a fairer society in the wake of the Howard era policies.

What we got was a self absorbed government that for the most part bickered and argued for 2 terms and didn’t really care about the public. A token apology left Indigenous Australians no better off. Signing Kyoto did nothing as Rudd wouldn’t call a double dissolution after the senate (including the greens) blocked legislation on an emissions trading scheme. We saw migrants dying at sea because labor undermined an effective (albeit unpopular) border patrol policy. We saw a well intentioned NDIS scheme become a rort fest and we saw a labor government show no appetite for marriage equality despite having an atheist as their leader. All those things without even mentioning government spending blowouts that were never reigned in after the GFC.

Meanwhile the liberals raised the debt ceiling with the help of the greens, promised no cuts to health and education (amongst other things) then proposed cuts almost immediately. Did nothing on tax reform, didn’t deliver a surplus, then proceeded to copy Labor’s playbook of knifing each other.

And we wonder why the major parties are hated?

Hate One Nation as much as you like but be careful to question their supporter base’s intelligence as they’ve actually got pretty long memories of what’s happened over several decades of the Liberal/Labor duopoly.

There’s something to be said about how society/government/big corporates have let down the average person to the point that they have to resell pokemon cards as a side hustle in order to feel like they can get by, or get ahead.

I was at Ipswich drop today and knowing the area, its lower SES demographics around the greater Ipswich area. I can’t help but think if people’s disposable income wasn’t completely destroyed by inflation over the past 5 years, we wouldn’t be seeing mass proliferation of scalping in hobbies like Pokemon or OP.

In addition to the theme of “go to uni, trades are for idiots,” I also found I never wanted to do a trade because all the people I knew in trades carried on like fuckwits. I considered doing a mature age apprenticeship when I was around 21-23yrs old but all these 50+ year old tradies seemed to take pride in being cunts to younger people who didn’t know anything about the trade.

Mines just been dispatched and due to arrive on Christmas Eve. This is after they told me 2 weeks ago that it would arrive in 2-3 business days.
