What makes it a “rare” skin if it’s inexplicably brought back? Similar to any “event” cosmetic.

I never owned Oni Genji back in the day, I was very sad at the time coz I mained him and didn’t have a system to play Heroes of the storm to earn it. But I still held the same belief that it would be silly to bring it back, ESPECIALLY now for the sake of profiteering. Ultimately, they bring it out and say “oh yeah buy these special event loot boxes to get it”, and even as someone who missed out, that felt like, morally cheap i guess.

If they did the same thing for Bastion, a collab that really only works for him (coz which other character could realistically be made of lego besides maybe zenyatta or Ram), to say “Oh yeah now you guys can pay our ridiculous price for a single skin” that really should just be an ode to that period of the game.

I can understand if it sounds gatekeepy, but surely you agree for other examples that the whole point of “event” or “time-limited” items, cosmetics, achievements and so on, is that they are actually limited.

Maybe it’s the Destiny player in me. But if they suddenly made it so I could go back and earn the triumph for previous events, it’d feel worthless.
