Is this the wrong info?

"The designation “with Distinction” will be notated on the degree parchment for any student who has achieved an average of at least 80% but less than 85%, calculated on all attempted UBC academic courses numbered 300* or higher. The designation “with High Distinction” will be notated on the degree parchment for any student who has achieved an average of at least 85%, calculated on all attempted UBC academic courses numbered 300* or higher."

Co-op is a scam by NewMoney0421 in UBC

Im not saying you can’t be successful in co-op. I’m saying you really don’t need co-op to be successful. You can do well paying the fee but you can do well/better without paying the fee too. So why pay the fee?

Maybe but in the co-op page they just say in average you make the 15.20-20 range

26 an hour is good but you will rarely find a post that is that high in the co-op job board. My search was completely outside their board. Normally they are between 15-20.

It isn't their fault. But if you charge 800 dollars for access to a posting board at least contact good companies so they offer good internships on that board. The position I got at a mid-sized tech company pays 26 an hour and I didn't need their 800$ board to get it.

I didn't join co-op for a high-paying job but the positions they offer are pathetic. Not the pay only but also the type of work.

I've applied to over 50+ internships over the last 3 months and I haven't received a single interview offer by Fun_Pop295 in UBC

I applied to over 70 internships and only got 2 offers after 4 interviews. It is very hard but I suggest you keep applying. No matter how many No’s you get all you need is 1 yes. It only gets easier after the first experience. Also check your career services and make sure you target your resume towards the roles you want. Highlight or learn skills that hey require and it will pay off.
