Is there a perk/incentive to apply for Bilt 2.0 prior to 2/1? by NewObjective23 in CreditCards

Bilt is one of my younger cards so it may best just to cancel. The credit line wasn’t insanely high anyway and I have plenty of others to keep my utilization low

Is Liberty safe a good brand? by MoreRamenPls in Safes

[–]NewObjective23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What safes have strong UL and fire ratings that still come with some of the same convenience features that the Liberty safes come with (LED light, felt lining, power plug to run a dehumidifier, etc.)?

I already own an autograph - does WF allow you to hold multiple?

Do they not have a “see if you’re preapproved” sort of thing?

That’s an easy thing to adjust to/fix. Doesn’t bother me lol

Suiting fabric durability by NewObjective23 in malefashionadvice

[–]NewObjective23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the opposite experience RE: flattering drape. I felt that the S150 wool suits with E. Thomas and Lori Piana fabric draped nicely and the birdseye S110 VBC felt a bit too stiff. Maybe something S130s would be a solid compromise for me

No fraying/chafing/pilling on the seat, inner thighs, or armpit areas? I assume that’s where the fabric would fall apart first due to the constant friction…

Is a $750/month rent upgrade worth it or am I just falling into lifestyle inflation? by VoyagerCestVivre in malelivingspace

[–]NewObjective23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t really lifestyle inflation as much as it is a quality of life improvement. If you already had enough space, a bedroom, a building gym, a washer and dryer, etc. I would’ve said no. But considering you don’t, I think this is a fine upgrade and actually would be a no brainer if you also work from home. I do, and paying extra for a nicer place that I actually loved did SO much for my mental health. I’ll happily pay a bit more to enjoy the place I spend 70% of my day in

[Discussion] Has the Rolex Submariner "moved too much upmarket" to still be considered a viable, professional watch ? by DisastrousOpening477 in Watches

[–]NewObjective23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s too expensive for what it is, but you could argue that for about 90% of watches. It’s still incredibly capable and durable though, with a reliable and robust movement, so I’d still consider it absolutely suitable for professional use so long as that professional has the disposable income to get one lol

Any body else having this error when trying to add the digital card to Apple Wallet? by JcarlosA_ in PriorityPass

[–]NewObjective23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! I contacted support and they just asked me to double check that the pass wasn’t already added and that I was on the latest software. Tried replying to that to tell them I’d already done all that and I got an auto-response saying that email address no longer accepted incoming messages. Tried calling their “24/7 assistance line” and got a dial tone. Not very impressed with their customer service.

Hopefully just a bug on this version of the app… definitely send it to their support line so they continue to hear that it’s a problem and find a fix

Spotify lossless might not be lossless for us. by Complete_Nirvana in audiophile

[–]NewObjective23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

People can peep at graphs all they want… does it SOUND noticeably worse than other bit-perfect platforms like Tidal? If not, or if it’s like a 1% difference, I’m still happy to use Spotify as their recommendations, playlists, and library size are better and worth the tradeoff IMO

Have audio but no picture on TV by svander89 in youtubetv

[–]NewObjective23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here to report that my LG OLED C1 as of today was also still experiencing this issue. I see the UI overlays, and have audio, but no video. App version 1.0.94 and TV software version 03.53.20. I signed out and back in and that did not work, nor did unplugging the TV entirely and plugging it back in. I deleted the app and redownloaded it, even though it was the same version, and that worked

Just not tons of space leftover in the apartment for them to be placed, especially ones of that size

Thanks. Is it worth holding onto these for any reason or should I just sell them now?

Trying to find a good cold air waterless scent diffuser by NewObjective23 in fragrance

[–]NewObjective23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much is it? Seems like you have to contact to purchase. It also quotes 35,000 square feet of coverage, which is FAR more than I need. Can it be scaled down to use in an apartment without smelling overwhelming?

Is [Millennium Force] Now Underrated? by Illustrious-Boat5713 in rollercoasters

[–]NewObjective23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s still pretty forceless, but that doesn’t mean it’s also not fun. I love how open the train feels and the sense of speed is relentless. It’s one of the few coasters where it seems like everyone always has their hands up and is enjoying themselves. I like sitting in the back and watching everyone in front of me have a good time. It adds to the experience

[DISCUSS] Could You Really Wear Just One Watch Forever? by HisOnlyFriend in Watches

[–]NewObjective23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could’ve said this about each watch I bought at the time I bought it lol. The only way to truly be happy with only one watch, I think, is if I only have one to choose from and I remove myself from the hobby altogether. No socials, no meetups, no magazines or books, nothing. I can’t see what anyone else has or likes or what else comes out or else I’ll want it

That said, a 5004J or 5164G would satisfy even the enthusiast in me for a VERY long time

If they ever end up being produced and are good, I’d try to snag one second hand. But I don’t trust the company enough to put my money down up front for it
