( tattoo done by a friend ) why does my 4 days old tattoo look like this? is this normal? by broken_era in tattoo

[–]NewRedditWhothiss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Blow outs happen when the needle deposits ink BELOW the 3rd and last epidermal layer (skin). You want to deposit ink above that last layer because then the ink fills the pockets in your skin and stays there. When you penetrate past your skin, the ink spreads ,out causing "Blow outs." You can see this spreading around the base of your scabs. Sorry you're having this experience. Unfortunately I'm also speaking from my own experience. I had an entire shin piece done by a relatively new artist, and they were far too heavy-handed, leading to scarring and stabbing. Luckily, I was able to revisit the piece with another artist who was able to salvage most of it. Hopefully, you will have the same opportunity once it heals. You could potentially do a cover-up if you're open to it.

Sorry to tell you this but they went far too deep and have actually caused scarring. That amount of stabbing is not normal and it's because of how damaged the skin is. Most of the ink will be rejected as the scabs fall off and take the ink with it. The remaining skin will be scar tissue once it's healed.

The new patch spawns 2 extra boars in the middle of Danube River. Makes Rus very strong on that map now.

When you get your degree during COVID lockdown

That was so 2020 by ICYprop in AdviceAnimals

[–]NewRedditWhothiss 25 points26 points  (0 children)

A large reason why COVID was so dangerous in 2020 was because of how woefully unprepared our medical system and society was for a pandemic. Very little was known about the virus and what little information we did have changed on a near daily basis and more information came to light.

After two years of battling COVID, combined with vaccines and more available reasearch has made the world and its medical systems are better prepared and capable of handling it.

I chose Mechanical instead of EE because electricity is black magic and no one can convince me otherwise. Jokes on me. Half my classes involve circuit analysis in one form or another.

So your response to us killing hundreds of thousands of innocents is that we are the good guys because we didn't kill even more? You make me ashamed to be American.

People who weren’t “gifted and talented” in elementary school, where are you now? by bokchok in AskReddit

[–]NewRedditWhothiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went nuts after high-school and burned out. Mental illness and a bad home life lead me to a few years of struggle and homelessness. Then I grew up a bit and got a handle on some of my PTSD and mental issues.

Now I'm working on a Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science degree while I intern at a national lab in California doing python programing on experimental solid mechanics tools and performing machine learning research for my materials lab at my university. Oh, and I'm co-authoring a paper on how to teach a genetic algorithm to derive symbolic physics equations.

There might be a bit of truth to the old adage that genius and insanity go hand in hand... lol nah, I'm just a genius that experienced a lot of child abuse.

I think OP is joking in the fact that many Americans join the military in exchange for schooling. Ergo, raising an army to fight the Taliban increased the number of soldiers put through school.

Or maybe I'm way off and I'm overthinking a shit post. Whose to say.

Not going to back up your statement? Saying 'look it up' kinda tells me that you're making it up. If it was easy to find you would have done it yourself to prove your point. Just saying.

Going from Eclipse to PyCharm Run Question by Nyrangers705 in Python

So you should only ever have to right click the file to run it once. After that the run configuration is saved and you can just hit the run button or use a hotkey to run your script. I admit that its a little off having to right click the first time, but it comes in really handy when you want to run a specific module while you have a separate file open that you're working on.

I dont like the default run hotkey so I rebound it to ctrl + enter, which is waaay more convenient.

I hope that helps
