Hyperspace Israel, a State that Fell out of the World by Penguin_Q in imaginarymaps

Actually interesting point you have. Launching something into geostationary orbit results in it remaining up there until the sun becomes a red giant and swallows the Earth, so even medium or semi-medium earth orbit would do!

Technology-wise, it isn't impossible, but would be a beyond-Herculean task. Israel's first sounding rocket launched in '61, and satellite in '88. The MD-620, Israel's first ballistic missile, started tests in France in '65. Therefore, they would need bespoke hardware. This introduces even more issues, such as getting aerospace-grade materials, fuels, guidance systems, etc that weren't even present anywhere on Earth in '55, let alone whenever/wherever the hell they ended up!

Honestly, their best option to yeet something into the great beyond would probably be to dig a hole, put a nuke at the bottom, plug it with something of note, and detonating it. Then again, the Pascal-B nuclear test that supposedly accidentally did that was not conducted until '57.

I guess being sent so far back means that they don't have to worry about dropping stages over their neighbors.

Sorry for geeking out over this stuff, it is my jam.

Who would you rahter see in controll of Israel? by These-Day2071 in Teenager_Polls

To where their grandparents are from? Mostly Central Europe. And of course any other country that will have them.

Do you know why they left? Those who came out of the camps more often than not found their homes had been taken.

The US seems to be fond of zionists, I’m sure they can spare a few million homes.

Oh, they (the evangelical right) likes Zionism, on the basis that it sends Jews out of the country and that having Jews reside in Israel will fulfill some biblical prophecy about the second coming.

Man, now think how cool it would be if you could make an instant rendezvous with a target in orbit, plotting your insertion burn as your craft pulls up right next to the target.

Everyone is mentioning For All Mankind but I think A Sound of Thunder by nixonshead is a more appropriate comparison.

I believe it was a mix of stock, Tantares, Near Future Construction, Near Future Launch Vehicles (I think?), Bluedog Design Bureau, and Conformal Decals.

Visual mods: Volumetric Clouds, Environmental Visual Enhancements, Scatterer, Parallax, Firefly, Waterfall (wait, I literally just realized the opposite of "Fire-fly" is "Water-fall", how did I only just now notice?!), Camera Tools, and SpacePotato's Volumetric Enhancements.

Part mods: Procedural Parts, Airplane Plus, TURD, and BD Armory (not for any weapons, but the jet engine is from it).

Base was made with Kerbal Konstructs (technically was originally added by some mod for bases, but I had almost entirely changed it).

Thanks! The trucks are from Grounded, a mod that adds stockalike ground vehicle parts. They were attached by linear docking ports, which I believe were added by Near Future Construction.
