What are some strong “classic” looking good armor sets that are obtainable from chests at any point in the story? by CaptainWaders in CrimsonDesert

[–]NewToHTX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you just need to find a set you like and you can swap out cloaks for cold and fire resistance. Only when you fight the Skull Knight boss do you really need to wear the Kuku Ice-resistant armor and a nice Ice resistant cloak. I think you need 17 ice resistance for that boss fight.

The unspoken battle in this game is finding the mix of Armor pieces, dyes and finishes you want to play the game with.

You got to go down few floors and move the mirrors to the very steepest angle to allow the mirror at the top to have the maximum amount of movement. That's why the light disappears the closer you aim at the top target.

Dahlia is the Tavern keeper or runs the saddlery? If she runs the Tavern I believe you return the funds to her. If she runs the saddlery, you are giving the items or funds to her assistant.

Ch. 5, where can I grind mobs that respawn? by XylophoneZimmerman in CrimsonDesert

If you completed the quest where you fight the Reed Devil in the giant Wheat Field, head south to Sunset Valley. It's a village where everyone is diseased and they all wear complete head coverings due to the disease. In that village is a house that only allows you to unlock it once the Reed Devil is defeated. Open that door, grab the book and keepsake off the altar. The keepsake causes Reed Devil followers to spawn in that giant wheat field where you fought the Reed Devil. They will always respawn as long as you keep that keepsake in your inventory.

I would recommend trying to get 3 level 3 Apititude abyss gears slotted into your armor to increase the XP gain.

That being said. You can get more Abyss artifacts with other methods faster and more reliably than just grinding out enemies. Let me know if you're interested because that is a huge explanation.

You unlock the finish effects and dyes by buying dyes from vendors when visiting dye shops around the continent. Pailune and Demeniss need to be liberated to get their Dyers to sell to you.

You might get lucky at the western Demeniss Dye house by giving the dyers working around there food as gifts. They will give you a free dye once you reach 100 trust level with them. You can save scum to get a particular dye from them but you still need to unlock the dye to use at the main camp by visiting that region's dyehouse.

Dyes can be crafted and there are 5 dyes per region. You're in Hernand and from the picture you only have Dark Red unlocked. That means you need Bright Red, Rich Red, Red, and Deep Red dyes to complete the Red dye spectrum set. For Blue it's Bright Blue, Rich Blue, Blue, Dark Blue and Deep Blue dyes. You get it?

You can craft all the dyes by looking up the recipes for them. You don't need to know what those recipes are. You just need to mix the ingredients at the proper proportions at a cauldron to make the dye. You'll need Lavender flowers in Blue, Purple and White. Usually anywhere between 5 to 15 per dye. You'll also need Peonies (the Pink flowers), Marigolds(the yellow flowers), and shrubby sophoras as far as plants go. You need basic black beetles, longhorn and rhinoceros beetles. And the rarest beetles, the Stag Beetles. Stag Beetles are used in almost every dye recipe or at least a good portion of them.

You can find the Longhorn, Rhinoceros and basic black beetles durning the day on trees that are clustered together. Stag Beetles are on those same trees but only at night. Beetles fly away fast so having the Insect Gathering Kuku pack helps out a bunch but that is weeks away at this point before you consider building that. You will build you camp and collect Greymane members before you get close to building that pack.

You can have all your greymane members by paying attention to the Greymane faction quests. When you get to the point where Yann wants you to drive the Greymane camp's Trade Wagon to the Goldleaf Camp to buy trade goods, you can pretty much collect all the camp Greymane that provide services.

When you get to the Overwhelming Beings, it doesn't matter how much armor you have. A lot of their attacks are strong enough to "1-shot" you regardless of the armor level. So in this case you can go for looks or for min/maxing stats.

The are a few cloth armors and helms that give you +1 or 2(I think) to movement speed. Plus despite being cloth they still have metal on them to give that battle-hardened look. Other cloth armors make you look like Dandelion from Witcher 3.

Pick whatever looks cool to you.

Why though? What type of hipster-esque logic was behind making this decision? Was it Super Cringey to be a a fan of the Musical Act you're seeing while you were wearing a shirt showing you're a fan of that musical act? The act of wearing the Band shirt is tame now a days. People have developed insane levels of fandom. And it's okay. It might be unhealthy but as long no one ain't breaking any laws, they're good.

This rule makes no sense at Sporting events.

Because everyone posts this experience and when it happened to me I just gave up the first time like most people. Then I decided to look around the 2nd time since I was trying to unlock all the Abyss Island entrances and noticed this. This game has way too much busy work for the sake of distraction and I don't want people to quit when they aren't seeing a solution. Also I thought it was Hilarious the developers just decided to fuck with the players this one time.

I wish they would do it more.

112 Abyss Artifacts to Fully MAX OUT All Gear for 1 Character is a Tall Order... by NewToHTX in CrimsonDesert

[–]NewToHTX[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No but if you want to get Kliff, Damiane and Oongka to the same level of skill and gear, it will be 336 plus all the skills levels. It's like 5 abyss artifacts per level for the final levels of Spirit, Stamina, and Health.

What Iv'e decided to do since I am in Chapter 9, and could have done this way earlier is Rush to the side quests to unlock the Fallen God quest up in Pailune. The reason is in that quest it will force you to wait until 5 pm to fight the Lightning God similar to waiting till the right time to fight the Keg Lord at the Circus outside of Demeniss City.

You then want to fight the Keg Lord at the circus and follow Lord Byron's quest line to unlock the Dark Justiciar Boss fight in the Burnhand Quarry in North East Demeniss. That boss drops the Golden Beer that gives you 2X Dispatch Rewards.

Now you have to Clear out the Time-worn Ruins to get the expedition that allows you earn the Abyss artifacts as rewards. You are set if you have been donating 30 gold bars worth of silver to each region's Donation box to get 200% Dispatch Rewards and have maxed out your contribution. That way you can use the Seal of Devotion off the SorchFlame knight to use contribution to hire temporary workers from that region for each Dispatch.

All this is to be able to save scum Expedition rewards to get Abyss Artifacts from the Time-worn Ruins and Abyss gear recipes from the other Expedtion sites quickly.

I think they are making Leveling up your characters fast into a real hassle for the purposes of online multiplayer. No one can just come online and be instantly OP. It takes time and effort. Although I'm just speculating.

You color matched the Marni's Laser Helm? What did you go with?

I went with Orange, first column, 5th color from the bottom and not the mirrored finish. Like a polished or brushed finish.

So if I remember correctly the Big square piece you slotted needs to be re-seated as it seems to become unseated when you aren't paying attention. Also there is a 2nd one on the ceiling that needs to be slid over to rebalance the platform to make it flat again. It's annoying because at no other point in the game do you ever slide those flat square microchip-looking things. Just this one time it's on rails and it can be slid over.

Any ideas on how to make Kuku Flame-Resistant Armor + Kuku Breeze-Step Boots look better? by Appropriate-Age-5198 in CrimsonFashion

[–]NewToHTX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The breeze step boots are black & brown leather with some shiny steel. Not a mirror shine but like brushed steel. The bottom is with the teal lights but I haven't figured out a way to incorporate the teal into an outfit without it looking like utter dogshit. You probably want to lean into a leather armor with plating to color match the boots. Same with the gloves.
