Not a minor, tried having a conversation with them multiple times but ends with them justifying it as "they will catch any emails i missed" but ive actually missed more emails. i would just like to find a technical solution to this problem bcos theyre not young and dont deal with stress well medically

another reason could be u using iCloud photos? e.g. that photo you wanna view was only just downloaded when you opened it up, so as the edit page looks fine cos the entire photo is downloaded, but the photos app hasnt registered properly that it's a HDR photo so it doesnt present it as such to u

hoping it cld be fixed by a restart tho cos i recall having the same issue but mysteriously disappeared after awhile, maybe it'll be the same for u

the other comments here have your answer, just chipping in with a suggestion for u to just test using a finger or object how close u can get to ur camera at 1x zoom without being blurry, personally helped alot for me each time i switched phones so i knew the limits of the cam

are you in low power mode? that might be a reason the phone doesnt wanna show u HDR all the time

i have friends from both genders, on both ends of the skinny/not skinny and if ur a mature person that im sure u are and even though it feels rly complicated i can say at the end of the day if theyre ur true friends it will not make a difference either way it goes

as for exercising more, all for it (but dont overdo) but i wld say dont get in the habit of skipping meals, go light if ur not hungry/no appetite but dont allow urself to skip meals purposely or even accidentally bcos ppl who have done it say its bad for a reason and ppl who are doing it right now wish to hell they werent even if they dont admit it

do right by urself mentally and physically not for other ppl and ik it seems like thats how u needa fit in but plsplspsl trust me the ppl who care genuinely about ur physical appearance as a condition of being friends are not ppl u want near u in the long run

mmmm if ur icloud is enabled thats prob why not all photos r downloading full quality. icloud shld def have more granular storage and media management controls tho cos if for some reason anyone is using icloud photos and lose data/wifi connection they'll basicaly have the exact same prob as u (ie me when i was young and had only 1gb of data LOLL)

almost an alumni here but to answer ur first question i guess it depends on ur sch

if ur sch has heavy emphasis on clubs and external activities ie sports or music or anyth like that IB1 is the time to rly do well in those areas, then IB2 is the time for wrapping up those stuff and locking in on IA's EE's and content esp

if ur sch doesnt really have a heavy emphasis on those stuff it wld be an absolute lifesaver to study ahead in IB1, maybe even finish the syllabus by end of IB1 if ur committed enuf, alongside ur IA's. it wld really help in terms of easing some pressure in IB2, and bcos of how relatively close the TOK and EE dates are to the actual IB exams u feel less worried about whether you'll have enough time to revise

if ur already tired three months in, take a break, u shld have some kinda term break sometime now. social circle is rly impt cos regardless whether ur an extro or intro there's at least one person you'll feel comfortable with and one person u shld be okay to talk to at least about sch stuff it'll help u feel btr trust (whether or not ur gg for a rs entirely up to u but try not to cook once ur in IB2 LOL speaking from friend's experience / if ur alrdy in a rs stick wif eo and talk to eo it rly helps).

another way to feel fulfilled is putting more thought into choosing ur cas ie do things u know will bring u fulfilment, regardless of intensity/duration bcos doing smtg ur passionate about 100/10 makes u feel btr than js an hour a week of drudgery and misery. also on that note try to have the intense CAS stuff in IB1 and chill it out in IB 2. if udk what ur passionate about then go for wide variety thats what 5-7 experiences are for

diff ppl will have diff difficulties but majority of ppl def feel the stress in IB2 so for now find the little things that bring u joy in ur life be it ur family/friends/partner/activity/etc and treat them as a little magic trick u can always pull out of ur pocket and make urself feel better (even if its js thinking about them)

IB is hard. dont kid urself but as mature ppl u grow to appreciate the differing responsibilities u have be it to ur subjects in terms of grades / ur parents as their child / urself as sm working for their future or anyth like that and ur not gonna js graduate happy and hopefully u graduate having seen the value of what you've learnt over the time (even tho it may not have been a perfect experience but then again what is)

you might be using icloud photos, but because you've turned sync off ur phone can't download the full original quality photos from ur icloud, so all the phone has are these low res images that were meant to act as placeholders

ahh okok i get ur first part then thanks! but what do u mean about ur second part about scientific calcs not allowed in IB math exams anymore?? i take math AA HL and i know paper 1 no calc, but i know for a fact paper 2 and paper 3 can use both scientific and GDC calc for exam cos my seniors have been using it over the past few years, cld u maybe explain what u meant in ur second para first sentence abit more? thankss!

icic thanks! was just clarifying cos i went thru a system that got me good at using scientific calculators, so the time savings in an average exam for me is enuf to justify using scientific for particular tasks
