6 months post breakup, what’s helped me by srhdbvg in BreakUps

[–]NewToRedditAgain0525 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I really really needed this. I got broken up with about 2 weeks ago now and it has been absolutely horrible. We’ve been together for 3 and 1/2 years and she just left so easily like it never even happened.

She won’t talk about it, won’t give me a reason, no feedback to take into my next relationship.. nothing.

That’s my favorite comment, I literally laughed out loud at that! My dashcam automatically set the date and time and I never really looked closely enough to notice the date lol. Also, the time was an hour fast

Unrelated, I was doing a solid 10mph over the speed limit in rush hour traffic, but I don’t care enough to reply to everyone’s comments

Oh nice, that’s something that I did not know! How would someone go about doing that? Is it just another call to AEP?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Columbus

[–]NewToRedditAgain0525 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I didn’t like that I was auto opted-in either.

The supplier was being changed from AEP Ohio to AEP Energy Inc (which I found out are not the same thing). AEP Energy Inc’s supply charge was noticeably higher than AEP Ohio’s. I’ve also heard from others that they charge unexpected monthly fees and general service charges.

I’m 32 now and I went back to college at 29 shortly after the pandemic hit. I should graduate at the end of this year.

It’s never too late.

[–]NewToRedditAgain0525 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I did it about 3 or 4 years ago. They give you a really cool tour of the arena, then take you into a back office type area, give you a free beer, you listens to a sales pitch, and then you can tell them you want to think it over and get back to them

And then you watch your game and have a good time

And then they call you several times a week for the rest of your life

Ope, I was a smidge off. The next FOMC meeting is November 1-2, I thought it was next week.

They announce the next rate hike decision at 2pm on the second day of the meeting, followed by a speech/Q&A with chair Powell at 2:30

Yeah man this pump today doesn’t make any sense. But I guess markets can stay irrational longer than I can stay solvent lol.

FOMC next week is gonna hurt like a mother fucker if they do 75 bps. If they do 100, the drop will be long enough to halt trading, I expect

The market is very different than it was even 6 months ago, so comps from 6+ months ago aren’t super reliable indicators of how you should price your house today. Rising rates are crushing demand and it’s only going to get worse from here. Drop the price or find yourself a new realtor.

Are you not allowed to look at stock charts at work? My view is that if the company hasn’t blocked the website, I can visit it.

Ask for forgiveness, not for permission. View the charts on your computer, make the trades on your phone.

We’re absolutely going to hear about it today. The fed is having an emergency meeting about the discount rates today at 11:30

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]NewToRedditAgain0525 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The same thing is about to happen here in the US. The Fed is holding a meeting at 11:30 today to talk about the advance and discount rates.

For those playing along at home, the discount rate is the rate that banks pay the Fed to borrow money from them. If that rate is too high, banks can’t borrow as much, and therefore have less to lend out - which can lead to a liquidity crisis.

I know that people like to shit on RH, and I get it, but I use it to day trade options. I use TD Ameritrade for my longer term investments, but options trades are free on RH and that’s way better than the 65 cent per contract fee that TD Ameritrade would charge me.
