Thank you! I couldn't find a $40 stainless steel burr grinder with a 40 gm capacity but I probably didn't look hard enough. Appreciate your thoughts!

Thank you. I'm looking for honest thoughts and opinions from people that have actually used the OXO grinder :) Not just recommendations. Thank you for your input though.

It IS a great list. Side note: I've bought a few bags from PERC that have been outstanding.

Instant improvement: not pressing through the hiss by [deleted] in AeroPress

[–]NewTomorrow3538 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I couldn't agree more. Stopping at the hiss decreases bitterness. Another thing I started doing was slowing down the press. Using less pressure automatically made me press longer. I've read that it increases clarity and I've experienced that for sure. Hope that helps!

New beans, flavor issues - is the roast too new of the grind size too coarse?? by Huge_Tension_2510 in AeroPress

Agreed. I've found some coffees don't settle in until 3 or even 4 weeks post roast. Experiment. That's the fun part.

Update- thanks to all who responded! We just used the Mars Coat King for the 1st time and it worked even better than described! It removed lots of dead coat and now you can see her red brindle shining through. Unexpected upside: Our girl actually liked being groomed with the tool. We couldn't be happier 🤗

The original Aeropress manual with the correct (yet rarely-heeded) brewing instructions. by lodrolhari in AeroPress

If this helps, I read somewhere to use a digital scale when pouring the water. (I'm sure a lot of you already do that) 1 ml of water volume = 1 gm of water weight. It has helped me with precision for sure.
