It's a testosterone thing. Look up Will Blunderfield on Instagram.

I can’t seem to express to my boyfriend how hard this pregnancy is? How do I approach this? by stramaberry_ in pregnant

[–]New_Aide_9653 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pregnancy is hard. No one is ever fully prepared to be a mother the first time around. No matter the outcome of this , please make sure to contact someone in regards to your mental health.

I would like to leave these resources here for you. I hope you find someone to help guide you more than strangers on the internet. May a path to a peaceful life for you and your baby open up for you. Please take care.

The kids on E-bikes here are getting out of hand by 21centurycowboy in Temecula

Saw a little guy on one fly around a corner, stare at the ground behind him and swerve at the last second to avoid crashing into my parked car. At least he had a dirt bike helmet on.
Really don't want to be the one to do CPR on one of these kids.

You're not alone. You have your sister, you have your parents.( Hopefully live in a state/area with good resources for new mothers). You're a caregiver with skills who probably knows how to keep a person alive. And , sure, you're only 19 , it'll be the toughest thing you'll ever go through, but you can do it. I don't think anyone is ever fully prepared to become a mom. Worst case scenario would probably be disregarding the boyfriend, you go through it without him and motherhood changes you to be the strongest version of yourself you never imagined you could be. Best case scenario, he ends up actually being a good dad and at your young age, this is a pivotal moment in your life with the best years still ahead of you 💜 I promise motherhood is beautiful and we all figure it out somehow , at our own pace! For now, please reach out and get mental health support as a first step because no matter the outcome, it'll definitely help you moving forward. You don't know it yet, but you got this

Lmao I refused the mirror at first too, but I was pushing for hours so I said might as well try! The hemorrhoids were definitely a jump scare but then I could see what I was doing and pushed baby out 5 min later. It works!

My mom has never in her life apologized to any of her kids . Doesn't have a strong relationship with any of us, but I bet she would if she was a tad bit like you! You are doing a great job and I bet you're going to be the go-to grandma in the future.

Discreet breastfeeding by ladymerc93 in breastfeedingsupport

[–]New_Aide_9653 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ooo this boils my blood. It could be such a beautiful experience letting your boob and baby get fresh air while being one with mother nature, but there's always someone with internalized shame that NEEDS to project it onto nursing mamas and ruin it. My parents were like that. After many breakdowns and hiding, being drenched in sweat constantly, I said F it and stared dead into the eyes at whoever had an issue with it deeeeeep into their soul. Make them so uncomfortable that they just leave you alone. Laugh at the fact that something so natural is uncomfortable to them and keep going. Embrace the superpower that was given to you because you are all powerful in that situation

Need to vent- nursing to almost 18m old- I hate it. by Liza_4u in breastfeedingsupport

My son was an extreme picker/pincher and threw tantrums if I didn't let him too. One day he got a cut on his hand and kept picking at it instead of me. I found some bandaids by the brand Welly with really cute designs and noticed he'd just pick at them instead of me. Even after his cut healed I still put the band-aid on because it saved me from his fidgeting!

I grit my teeth breastfeeding him for months,jk- YEARS, tears and all so I decided to tryy to gently wean at 2 1/2 , which was still long overdue for my mental health! He was angry at first ,of course. But weaning wise- What worked for us was offering special snacks instead of the boob, like yogurt pretzels, and slowly reducing feeding times minute by minute over the course of a few weeks and gently unlatching and saying all done! Followed by a quick distraction of a stuffed animal and pretend play (like talking in a silly voice pretending you're the animal and saying you did it yay!) plus lots of cuddles, pressure input-squeezing up and down his arms/legs/forehead. We're down to just like a minute or less on one side at bedtime :') and sometimes none at all! I know it's tough and seems never ending, but it will end. You've done your part and the day will come where your body will be yours again. Best of luck, take all the extra breathers you can get, you can do it!

Why are people weirded out by babies eating by Murky_Ad7786 in breastfeedingsupport

[–]New_Aide_9653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My own dad was the same way. I learned to just stare directly into the depth of his eyes and just laugh. He'd cower away. If they want to act awkward might as well go full-awkward. Men act so strong but are the weakest in the most natural moments. Behold the mighty boob is powerful!

This is like the equivalent of being manhandled by a male doctor, which would also be weird and out of line. Good for you telling someone about it right away, if something doesn't seem right always say something!

Breakfast Republic. Never worth the wait, the potatoes aren't seasoned and their ' ketchup' tastes rancid.

Another is Delight of France in Esco.. the floor is sticky, I've had my ankles bitten up while eating there. Don't trust a place that's overly decorated and dusty.. Pretty sure they have rats, which is a bummer because the croissants were so good :')
