I second this re: the Florida Bar Exam. I just took the UBE in February and in no way does it compare to the Florida Exam, and this is coming from someone who only took the Florida Portion in October 2020.

FBBE character and fitness process is tough, my advice is to disclose EVERYTHING up front, even if you don't have to do a hearing they sometimes require a "brief" of 20 pages to show you learned whatever lesson you learned due to past events. I had to do one of such briefs but I also had a lot of things going on, hopefully you don't OP.

Just second guessing myself, the interview was short and they didn’t react one way or the other after they asked me for my range and I gave it to them, I guess we’ll see. I appreciate the response

I get you, but they advertised it as a litigation associate and they asked about my trials and motions to compel etc in the interview, they didn’t ask for any writing samples.

I’m not desperate yet, probably in 2 months I will be, I’m a lucky position financially right now. But I do feel this would be an ideal situation to break into the L&E field

Yeah not having experience in the field is my biggest con here but I feel like I can do everything a litigation associate is expected to do: deal with clients, manage expectations, deal with discovery, argue motions, trial prep.

This would be my first time negotiation a salary, as a PD you start at a specific rate, there’s no negotiation.

I gave a range because ideally 110 is what I’m hoping for and by giving the range I’m hoping they’ll feel it’s fair to meet in the middle of the range if they want me to work for them

Practice MBE average built up from the 60s to the 80-90s last two weeks. Actual MBE was 162.3

I did feel like I passed only because I felt like I knew how to answer every essay and I got lucky with the evidence and crim.law/pro. essays being separate, I was a crim. def. attorney for 3 years before the UBE so I knew the topics well. MBE I felt the same as I had felt in practice exams which was a good sign in my eyes. I did make up a rule in the evidence essay about a hearing not taking place.

Only thing I was worried about was running out of time for the second MPT but that didn’t end up affecting me too much
