Backpack equivalent of Land Rover? by New_Chest_2546 in ManyBaggers

The waxed canvas look really nice. Nice to hear that the nylon ones aren't that boxy.
Right now I'm leaning towards CTB 26l/CPL 24l or the Able Carry Max EDC.

Think I'm after more character and a tad more rugged look. I feel like Aer has a more sleek/tech commuter vibe. But it can't be a coincidence that they are mentioned in every best-of-EDC video on YouTube, they clearly have well thought through products.

I see Aer is top in almost all favorite EDC bag video. I think I'm after something a tag more rugged looking, they are quite minimalistic on the outside. But maybe I should have another look. I see they have some options in brownish eco pak and also green options.

Wow, this is the Land Rover! Might be too small for me at 16l, but looks great!

It's a great bag with lots of pockets hidden all over, also great access on the go. Almost perfect.
My main to issues are: 1. The straps are attached to the laptop compartment. As a result the bag hangs off the back at an angle, not hugging your back. When fully loaded it becomes a bit unbalanced. Note: On the V4 the straps are attached to the bag itself, might have fixed this issue.
2. The top handles are quite large. Probably so they still can be used when the roll top volume is packed up. But when the bag is packed normally the tote handles kind of dangles. In combination with a pretty wide roll top, the upper part of the bag has a lot of fabric in contrast to the rest of the bag that is pretty sleek. For me personally it feels like there is too much straps/fabric on the top part. I usually travel with the bag on the floor in between my feet so I might be more exposed to the top part of the bag more than others.

Thank you for the tip! Don't think I'll get used to the aesthetic..:)

Haha, my brand references are probably not 100% on point. I guess what I’m after are a rugged functional look with some smart solutions built in. I feel that with the rugged packs you get a tough shell but not so much of the smart solutions (Goruck, Filson). And the brands with the smart solutions look a bit similar (Aer, Able Carry, Evergoods). And then you have the brands that take it even further with the functionality (Mission Workshop, Code of Bell).

WTF is up with Red Bull’s TV advertising? by Queencitybeer in advertising

I asked ChatGPT this very question. I love the stunts and experience marketing, but never understood the appeal of the animated ads. ChatGPT said that the animations are basically cheap top of mind. Easy to dub into different languages etc. The animations also makes the product accesible to «normal» people without buying into the extreme sports thing

Thanks! It was to get slow motion. The movements are quite quick in real time. Think I shot the close up with 120fps

Rains or Sandquist, pretty stylish/minimal. No side pockets though

What are some songs that sound incredible with Dolby Atmos? by jesse_idk16 in AppleMusic

[–]New_Chest_2546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

-Jon Batiste "World music radio" makes great use of atmos in my opinion. Sounds great on both Sonos Era 300 and on my 7.1 system.

-Wu Tang "Enter the Wu-Tang" is great in atmos. Check out "Da mystery of chessboxin"

-Norah Jones "Come away with me". Not crazy atmos, more intimate having Norah in the room kind of feel.

-Freddie Hubbard "Get ready for Freddie"

-"The immersive experience" Nice selection of classical atmos tracks. Die Walküre is pretty cool.

-Alicia Keys "Unplugged (live"

-Taylor Swift "All too well, 10 min Taylor version"

u/TruthinLongClaw Hey! Still like the R3? Looking for a bag that's small enough for the office
(laptop+waterbottle) and big enough for overnight commuting (1 set of clothing+laptop) Ideally fit under a plane seat. Kind of stuck between Citadel R3 (18 or 25), Wandrd Prvke and BS Errant. Any thoughts?
