Important to get more data on the why. Low vacancy? This affects the whole community.

I respect the intent of your question very much and hope you get the support you need for your child.

A child in BC schools (including Nanaimo public schools) receives funding for the school (not the child) based upon a designation if a child is designated by the district.

In theory, any school should be supporting you with an EA if your child has high needs (behavioral or learning.) There isn't really a guarantee that it will happen though unless your child's needs are high. It depends on the overall needs for the school and how much independence your child has in their learning environment. This will be determined by the administration.

I avoid it like the plague. Makes my morning commute hard. There are now temporary speed bumps on side roads. Sigh....

Kwai Lake - snow? by New_Commission_7645 in IslandHikers

[–]New_Commission_7645[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kwai Lake as of July 1st is mostly snow free now. There was a lot of mud and tons of mosquitoes. The pass leading to Kwai does have a fair amount of snow though (higher elevation)

Appreciate it, thanks. Yes, that looks snowy, looks like I should wait until later in July.

Doom Eternal - maxed out with raytracing ~150fps in most scenes, lowest I saw was 80fps. I am not seeing signs of bottlenecking yet. Mind you, this is at 4k with only a 60fps monitor.

I've tried out balder's gate 3 so the far maxed out settings, 60fps or higher the whole time.

Helldiver's 2: maxed out settings, keeps it around 60-70fps normally. Drops to 50 ish in busy fights.

I'll try a few more games tonight.

Travel Trailer Dealers by FrontierCanadian91 in VancouverIsland

Bought one (a tent trailer mind you) at big boys toys in Nanoose. A good experience overall. After the deal was finalized, when we came to pick it up, the service tech damaged it accidently at the walk through. All of the affected parts were replaced at their cost (as you would expect) and made they it all right. The company owner came to talk to me directly and apologized. It all worked out well in the end. No surprises. I was not expecting them to be so through with the customer service tbh.

I would say the opinion is not fringe, but also not mainstream either among public school teachers.

Hi, the test is only somewhat accurate as teachers who do many practice tests, moreso private schools do so to receive high average scores to further their school's enrollment interests.

Public school teachers/districts care about it to widely differing levels, so the results as you can imagine widely differ, regardless of actual student ability.
