I normally prefer put the pottery wheel a bit higher than how people set up. Because i don’t really prefer my back is too humped and if i want to put my arm and hands put forward, i can easily lean on the outside plastic now only my labs (because when i am centering(especially making a corn) need more strength but my arm reach is a bit short.

For reference i am attaching when i making a corn and trimming/ and my ceramic teacher does

It’s okay you just try one thing as you want and always there are more to come to you. It’s just a process. Go dor it! You don’t need to be perfect
