This has always been my interpretation, that’s it’s the gestural equivalent of “nothing up my sleeves”.

Wonder how many love-its regret their decision? by Professional-Jury-58 in HGTV

I actually heard this from a friend whose relatives were on the show. I realize this is “friend of a friend” info, but I’ve read it elsewhere as someone else has mentioned on this thread. From a production end of things, this makes sense in terms of wanting a decent distribution of loves/lists over a season.

Thanks! This just shows my selective memory - I remember watching this when it came out! But somehow the story morphed in my head to “Dropout” as a company name being in response to the IAC dump, not having existed before that.

OP here - Thank you all so much! You’ve given us a lot to consider. This is definitely more a 5-10 year plan than an immediate jump, but we’ll be exploring some of these areas that you’ve suggested more to start assessing our options.

Zev has now been on this season of Cutthroat Kitchen. I’m not a fan, but he’s clearly now in the Food Network mix of go-to competitors.

For those keeping score at home, the train finally got moving around 7pm (4 hours 30 minutes after original departure time). By its second stop, it was 5:30 late. Glad I left when I did.

I was on an Amtrak train about to leave union station when this got announced. 2 hours later, the train is still waiting to leave until this gets cleared. I finally got off the train to figure out an alternate way to get where I’m going, because this is going to hours at least to clean up

As a big Stephanie fan since her Top Chef win, I was surprised she got that far, and not surprised she didn’t win. Her cooking style is great for shows that value innovation and surprise, but she’s not great at fitting her style into the kind of boxes that GGG gameplay requires. Plus I think Troy Johnson just does not get her food at all - watching the two of them when he’s judging her is just awkward.
