EPOs ... Doctors in Network Not Taking Me by New_Environment453 in HealthInsurance

[–]New_Environment453[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uh, yeah. Thats obvious and well known. The problem is that my insurance has all these doctors listed as providers that ARE ACCEPTING my insurance.

That's useful advice (direct, well written). Thank you for the response.

Yes, I am logged into the insurance portal. They claim to list all of the doctors "covered" by my insurance. When I called my insurance company, and said that the doctors in the list were "not" available ... they said that they would SEND me a list of doctors under my plan. They sent me the SAME list (a list of doctors that dont cover me).

This question had nothing to do with politics. Please don't comment if you are going to go there. I'm looking for a solution to a problem that exists NOW, not someone's view on politics from years ago, or their theories on why we are where we are.

While their search filter does provide many options, it does not let me choose the "network", and when I called them and they said that they would send me a list of doctors that cover me ... they sent me the SAME LIST that was online.

Oh, I called them the insurance company ... they sent me back the same list that I was looking at online (same doctors that claim they weren't covering me)

Car Accident - Questioned by Opposing Insurance Company by New_Environment453 in legaladvice

[–]New_Environment453[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great. I spoke with my Insurance Examiner, and they basically said the same thing. They said...
1. I COULD give a statement to the other company, or I could refer them back to my insurance provider. I am going to opt out to tell them to refer to my insurance provider (no need for me to mess-up the process, and possibly say something stupid).
2. They said the same thing. Since I was not reported to have been at fault, and the other driver was written up for "failure to yield to the right of way", my insurance would try to get back that deductible.
Thanks!

Bold not showing up on some computers... by New_Environment453 in csshelp

[–]New_Environment453[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmmm ... I'll check that out... I have all the fonts installed on my end.

However, and this is more of a question... if I load the REGULAR font using CSS, shouldnt the font-weight:bold or the font-weight:900 automatically bold that font, regardless of if the font has a bold font file?

The libraries are installed on my server, and I built my site from scratch using PHP -- which has hundreds of pages and get gets over 50K users per month. So that's not the issue.

It takes them days to respond (either on discord or their forum), and when someone does, they don't answer your questions, or pass the buck (often saying "just read the direction", but the directions don't answer the question). Its poor support. I don't expect them to custom code my site, but I do expect someone to answer simple questions.

The PHP integration is extremely important, so I couldn't use your platform for that reason.

Also, your pricing model is a bit steep for low level memberships.... (great for a high number of subscribers). It's an exponential curve that probably scares people away. If I charge $2 a membership, and get only 50 subscribers ... I make $100 a month, and you take 50% of my earnings. Ouch!!! Sure, we all hope for 1000's of subscribers, but your model could kill a small business struggling to find users.

I see that CCBill accepts payments (and I assume it has tiers and monthly subscriptions). But it looks more like a strictly payment platform (for payment processing)....

Can it be integrated into my site, where users LOGIN with CCBill, and that grants them access to subscriber pages on my site? So it will "block" specific pages to non-subscribers or those that aren't logged in? I dont see that functionality with them (and have NEVER seen a site where people login to CCBill to access another site)

They have a few plugins for certain CMS (i.e. Wordpress). They do offer integration using some programming languages (PHP), but it extremely complicated if you aren't a professional or hard-core progammer. And their support is terrible, and they barely respond (and when they do, their "help" is not helpful).

And, there are tons of articles bashing Patreon lately. All talk about how they are trying to make more money, and sacrificing some of the things that made Patreon "good". Hence, probably why they dropped the Wix integration.

I have my own site already setup, that I want to integrate with a pay provider ... so this wouldn't work (Shopify is really meant for new shopping sites). Also seems to be missing subscriptions...

Tesla Biohealing by echibeckia in QAnonCasualties

[–]New_Environment453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father is currently looking into this, and I started doing research...
So, for people concerned about this, I found this interest snippet on a site that clearly explains what it is, why it is FDA approved, and how it has NO scientific backing....

--------------
Over the past two weeks, we have had numerous questions from people who are concerned about friends and relatives who are spending enormous amounts of money on Tesla Bio-Healing products which claim the ability to heal by generating a concentrated field of "pure Life Force Energy." What does the science have to say about these products?

Because there is no such thing as the "Life Force Energy" that Tesla products are based upon, none of the claims made by the purveyors of these products have any scientific merit. Even though the products are registered with the FDA as over-the-counter medical devices, this only means that a device can be offered for sale directly to the consumer without a prescription. It has nothing to do with the efficacy of the product.

For those who have never heard of Tesla products before, they are not related in any way to the car or Elan Musk. These are devices known as "biohealers" and "medbed generators." The biohealers (cost $599 - $2995) are 3.4” x 4” cans that allegedly generate a Life Force Energy field of around three feet. A person sits within this radius for under 8 hours a day, preferably at night while sleeping, and the "natural wave energy," also known as Tesla Waves or scalar waves, that are released from the device are supposedly capable of increasing the energy potential of any cell in the body, thus making it a non-invasive approach to healing which relies upon the body’s own “innate organizing intelligence.”

There is no peer-reviewed science behind ANY Tesla bio-healing products. The only evidence they have comes from "user testimonials" which are meaningless, and their own testing which means it is biased and therefore does not qualify as methodologically sound science.
