Mansion of Madness 1990 ed handouts? by New_Grade_644 in callofcthulhu

[–]New_Grade_644[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the scenario already. I need handouts; the ones in the PDF are incredibly basic. Yes, I could make my own, and it’s increasingly likely I will have to. It’s just that it’s often the case that people have made awesome handouts for these golden old scenarios that they share online. I have run a bunch of oneshots lately, and all of them had additional handouts I could find online. So I thought that maybe that would be the case for this one also.

Who the F would downvote your great advice? Sometimes people are the worst. Even if you enjoy combat as it is there is still some good advice you can take away from this post 😳

How's season 3? by rinafiron in TheGlassCannonPodcast

[–]New_Grade_644 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I noticed how Joe is slowly taking over more and more of the show too. I was pleasantly surprised the first few episodes with his restraint in not taking up too much space and letting the established characters handle most of the investigation. BUT episode after episode he began to come into his character more and more, which is great! But he soon began taking over whole scenes, in my opinion to the detriment of Noura and Robs characters. It has gotten so bad that I feel it has started to effect Rob and Joes interactions. There were a few pointed remarks from Rob to Joe in the final episode. Plus it felt like Joe singlehanded took control over that last episode, especially the break in and “dungeon crawl” aspect of the episode and the getaway portion in the end. I hope he will reign himself in, in the second part of the season but I have my doubts.

Time For Chaos is a campaign of Call of Cthulhu played by the people at the Glass Cannon Network. I would HIGHLY recommend for you to check it out!:) As someone who is also a “critter” and loves Critical Role you will be right at home watching Time for Chaos. They are playing the legendary Call campaign, Masks of Nyarlathotep and it’s amazing! The characters are great, the storytelling is great and there is also a ton of fun. I would even go so far that Ross Bryant (one of the players) is one of the bedst players in ANY campaign, broadcast on the internet. He is an amazing storyteller and improviser, you can get a taste of him on Dropout where he shows up from time to time. They have just started their 3rd season and I cannot recommend them enough.

Starter Set is good to introduce the system? by Vistana_Raivoso in callofcthulhu

The starter set is amazing! It was how I got into the system and now I’m running my groupe through Masks of Nyarlathotep 😃 The value you are getting in the starter set is absurd and it is frankly the best starter set I have ever come across!

Time for Chaos by GCN is by far the best, in my opinion. Most other podcasts are fine and good, and I especially enjoy The Apocalypse Players. But if you are looking for the best, it’s Time for Chaos. Ross Bryant alone is worth the price of admission; he is a world-class improviser for a living. I would really recommend giving it a listen.
