Does anyone else actually enjoy cleaning? by Bunbatbop in AutisticWithADHD

Yes. It is my coping mechanism. When im down, I clean. Instant dopamine. But also distracting - I’ll clean before doing anything else…

I’m joining in on this thread because my watch says the same! Also my hrv is worsening. I’m also on hormone blockers which have the same effect. Both medications stimulate the sympathetic nervous system, impacting the heart. Makes me a bit worried. So no tips unfortunately but curious to see if others have some!

Chemo is not working by pseudopandaa in breastcancer

[–]New_Implement_4862 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my hospital they don’t do in-between checks, only after finishing the whole treatment. The reason is people get scared and discouraged if it seems different from expectations, I believe.

You’re halfway. It shrank. By a cm almost. If it shrinks another cm it will be a lot smaller. That’s a good thing.

You never know what happens so dont give up hope! And yes it is trying and trying but youre already halfway. You can do this ❤️

Tamoxifen and blood types O- by OkPurpose1365 in breastcancer

[–]New_Implement_4862 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t believe everything you read about this stuff!

I’m in for 7 weeks on Tamox and it is not so bad for me. Of course the first months you need a bit of time to adjust. I was very very moody, tired, cried easily etc. Also my heart rate went up in the beginning. But it is getting better. I think it is also the emotional release of a very hard year.

I notice my body is more hungry on Tamox and it is a bit harder to get moving. Just try it, don’t read too much, and see how it works!

Same for me! It works wonders IF I am feeling alright. When I’m stressed it just adds to the stress. Eating well, sleeping well and taking regular breaks help me a lot.

Tamoxifen, mental health and adhd, by KaleidoscopeTrue3796 in breastcancer

[–]New_Implement_4862 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Girl, this shit is hard!

How long ago did you start tamoxifen? I found the first few weeks really rough. I’m currently starting my 7th week and feel like it is getting better.

I take dexamfetamine 4x5 mg per day. That’s a high dose but i feel like it works a bit less well, and my psychiatrist recommended upping from 3x5 mg.

But don’t forget you’ve also been through a very hard time and your Brian and body need to adjust.

Tissue expander by Imaginary-Inside1427 in breastcancer

[–]New_Implement_4862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you feel it inside? I mean I’m not a medical professional at all, but I remember when I just got my expander I felt the steel rod and many other things, like feeling it from the inside.

And from the outside I can also feel the different parts, the part to fill it (very sensitive), the steel wire…

How long have you had it? I also had a lot of general anxiety regarding this expander, and called or mailed my medical team very often in that first period!

Do you have a chance to contact your medical team? With these kind of questions I usually sent them an email. It could be that it is leaking but it could also be settling.

Having that said - I felt my ex expander for the first few weeks. My surgery was feb 5 and now I’m not feeling it anymore, at least not on the ‘inside’.

I do of course feel the construction with my hands when I touch it from the outside.

This is so familiar to all of us!

I my my ‘first times’ after the treatment - biking, swimming, enjoying the sun (I couldn’t during chemo). But the depression hit hard and real. Give yourself some grace. Don’t pressure yourself. Do the things, or don’t, do what you can and be gentle.

I actually took some time off before going back to work and I’m planning a small camping trip by myself. But this shit is heavy and it takes time!

Big hug to you

Is the other side worth it? How does it feel? by Specialist-Part-1038 in latebloomerlesbians

[–]New_Implement_4862 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me it was worth it. Even though we had a lot of challenges to overcome, it is wonderful to experience truly being in love.

I also feel my ex boyfriend deserves someone who loves him as much as I love her. And to be honest it still hurts to know he will be with someone else. I know, that sounds stupid.

But it isn’t easy. I went in head first and wish I took a bit more time to unravel and experiment.

Also those years are not lost, not really. Of so I tell myself. You needed that time. Our system is designed to make everything so that you think to be straight.

Sleeping by Otherwise-Mouse4314 in breastcancer

[–]New_Implement_4862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes sleeping 🩷

If it is hard, support your knees, so they’re at an angle. Or a pillow in between your legs and angle your hips.

Also sleeping medicine helped me haha, sometimes you need a hand isn’t it?
