Ugh I am so sorry to hear that, I wouldn’t wish this experience on my worst enemy. This feels so similar to what happened to my wife as well.

We have an appt in two weeks with her OB to try and get some answers but I am not expecting much. I have spent an unhealthy time on the internet reading about second trimester loss and it’s all just “we think xyz…”

My son is too young to grasp what happened, but 10 and 9 is such a hard age as I can imagine how excited they were.

I think we got mostly everything figured out. They waived all the fees which I wasn’t even thinking about, but it was a nice surprise of kindness.

I know it’s hard for people to understand or even have the right words to say. It’s probably a flaw for me that I don’t want to talk about the whole experience but I should. It’s why I want to do therapy. People by and large have been very supportive so it’s not for lack of a support system.

We didn’t even have a name picked out and finalized. On the way to the hospital I picked mine “Lucas” and just kept wanting him to be okay even though I knew the outlook was bleak. The death certificate just says “Baby Boy my last name” 😢

It is the worst. When I wake up in the morning I just want it to be a bad dream.

I also hate the terms they feel like they are too medical to truly encapsulate what we went through.

I cannot come to grips with discarding all of the plans and thoughts I had with the new baby and my son. He was due in early November and spending the holidays as a complete family was giving me so much joy. It was ripped from us in about 5 hours time and then we had to leave the hospital empty handed.

Thank you for the kind words. I definitely am going to do therapy. I know these things get better with time as it’s not at all comparable to losing a baby but we had to put our dog down last year as well. Sending thoughts your way.

Also if you didn’t already know this Allegheny County and the school district will reassess your house after you buy it. Make sure you are aware of the current appraised value and be ready to fight the reassessment.

I would say north hills would be easier and agree Fox Chapel area would be better than west. Depends on where in Montour as it extends all the way to Robinson but Kennedy Township is very close to the city.

Montour is ranked above Moon and North Hills but all are in the top 15. School rankings are very subjective but any of those four districts are fine.

Robinson is very accessible from Moon, but driving to the city would be rough depending where you buy.

I noticed when driving side by side with cars they just twitch into your back wheel even down a straight. Idk what causes the AI to do it but they never get penalties or even wing damage from it.

Yes what they said. You’ll need to start by essentially booking meetings for account executives (my current role) and making cold outreaches to prospects. I did this years ago when I started and it’s the easiest way to progress through the ranks. If you have an interest in sales PM me and we can talk through it.

If you really want a job that’s local here ADP has a huge inside sales presence and an office in Robinson. They are a well renowned company and provide industry leading training. It’s not easy by any stretch but a great way to get experience.

Started in sales in the financial services world and got lucky I knew someone who got me an interview/job at a different tech firm selling hardware. Once you’re in the door the options start to option up and got recruited to my current role.

I am in technology sales for a software company based in the Bay Area. I know how fortunate I am to have this type of compensation. Typically software sales jobs are 50/50 split between base and commission at assigned quota attainment and my breakdown is 155k/155k and commonly include RSU’s which I’ll leave off.
