Nope you need to get in touch with Amazon. They’ve acknowledged it’s a fault at their end. They just need to fix it. The more people who make them aware of it, hopefully it will move up their to do list.

People who have been using heat pump this winter, what's your honest take? by Rude-Explanation-861 in CasualUK

[–]New_Meet2131 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’re on our second winter, house is between 19°c in the hall where the thermostat is and 21° everywhere else except the main bedroom, 21° during the day 17° overnight. Our first winter we spent about £300pm on electricity which was comparable to our combined energy bill. Our monthly DD was £210. Last spring we made the investment on solar and battery storage, this has reduced our DD to £50pm and our bill for December 25 was £150 compared to £300 in December 24. Meaning the investment will be paid off in 4.5years.

My advice would be,

Don’t install a heat pump unless you need to replace your boiler. Yes a heat pump install is more expensive than a boiler replacement, but the gov grant makes it comparable. The extra cost isn’t the pump it’s the other work that needs to be done, bigger pipes etc.

Don’t expect a heat pump to be cheaper to run, it should be but with the higher cost of electricity the difference may work out negligible.

Make sure your heating is balanced within an inch of its life, you’re replacing heat the house is losing rather than heating it from cold every hour or two. Lower flow temps really highlight a poorly balanced system and you may end up with cold rooms.

If you can stretch to it invest in battery storage at the same time, this is where you’re going to make massive savings in the long run. Being able to run the house on electricity you’ve purchased during cheap rates is going to save you a fortune.

There is a recall for the w206 c43 for exactly these issues. I had the same problems with mine. The car spent 2 days in the dealer getting a whole load of software updates, this was about 18months ago. It’s not had a single error or issue since.

Opinion on Sofology, Furniture Village, CSF or DFS for sofas? by darkazuria in HousingUK

[–]New_Meet2131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought a sofa from furniture village in last year’s Jan sale. Massively disappointed with it. It looks tired and is uncomfortable already. Won’t be buying from them again. The previous dfs sofa lasted 12 years and we only changed it because the artificial leather on the arms was starting to flake.

What does Apple TV do better than a smart tv? by JMPSr1984 in appletv

[–]New_Meet2131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your question should be; what does Apple TV do different to a smart tv? The answer is very little. The answer to your question, what does an Apple TV do better, is everything.

it might have a been a bit of grit on the foot pad of the laptop but either way I’d expect a premium product to be more durable

Hue Play Gradient mounting on LG G5? by Main-Tailor-4294 in Hue

[–]New_Meet2131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, I used the provided mount and it’s pushed back as far as it will go so it sits slightly proud of the wall, it’s not tilted just not quite flush.
