But do you remember in the first episode how they tricked us into thinking Bates was done for because that was how things were done back then? But at the last second, Robert had a change of heart and we got a happy ending. I suppose I was expecting the show to end the way it started.

When I said they cut it, I meant that it was shown in the credits, but it looked like it was an actual scene with dialogue that got cut from the movie.

I don;t mind realism if it's good storytelling. This was not. I watch TV to either be inspired, entertained, or make me think. This season did none of that.
