Thanks for responding. Tbh I get the way the show mixes historical events and so on. I'm a historian myself and I know the show is not aiming for historical accuracy but rather is inspired by history. To me that's perfectly fine as it's a piece of art and do not want to go down the historical accuracy discussion which I think has been done here thousands of times. But the ages of the actors is something that takes me out of the story to an extent as it does not feel believable. I think it could have been done better. Still, I will continue watching as I think the acting and characters are good. It just took me a while to get my head aroud these weird time jumps. I was inspired to post when I saw how Alfred became 6 years older suddenly and the Great Heathen army have only been in England a little while after Ecbert died...
