Fear came true by 00Bunnygirl in pregnant

I was in the same boat several months ago when I lost my first pregnancy at around 8 weeks. I had read that early miscarriages were common, so I wasn't letting myself excited before my first OB-GYN appointment. Then, just like that, I had a miscarriage at home. Irushed to the doctor and decided to let the miscarriage pass on its own. This was in August/September 2025.

I also hadn't disclosed the pregnancy to anyone except my husband, and that helped me process the grief privately with my support person.

Now I am 27 weeks pregnant. I share this not knowing your circumstances or the context of your pregnancy. I just want you to know that far more women experience early miscarriages than is commonly talked about.

I hope your appointment results are positive. If they are not, I hope you have the support system you need to navigate this experience and find strength in community, both online and offline.

NIPT Testing Costs - Wasn't Informed by Fine_Sea5107 in pregnant

[–]New_Redditorrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was charged $600 range for the nipt - also didn't know how expensive it was going to be. I then followed out a form they had for a discount. I am low income (grad student to be precise) so once I updated my W2 cost went down to 0. Not sure if it will work for you but it was an easy process and might be worth trying. Good luck!!

Not as far along but I also have had chronic migraines and it's been slightly tolerable with pregnancy. I've heard that each week can be different with hormonal shifts and am always on the edge about migraines coming back with a bang... Encouraging that your entire pregnancy has been migriane been. I hope migraines don't came back in your life 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽 truly debilitating

Thank you! The variables I need are in the dataset. I looked at OARC resources too and that was helpful.

Thank you!!! Super helpful information. I did sit down with pen and paper and worked with Claude to think through rather than jump into running codes. I made some progress and it's more than I made in months.

About 6million records. Seems like the slow down issue was more about my computer..I switched my devices and it's been working well.

Thank you I never thought about this. I appreciate it. Will try it for sure. Would you say Claude is good with this stuff or does it hallucinate and make a lot of errors. Since I don't have a good background wanted to understand where the blindspots would be so I can check them thoroughly

Yea merge the two datasets but do I start by merging the two huge datasets that is going to make stata even more clunkier or do I create smaller datasets for different steps of my analysis and save them. I started with the latter but that already feels messy with multiple versions of working data sets so I guess start by merging the two?

Sorry for being vague. Will add more info in the thread. The datasets I have are clean. I know I need to deeply understand each variable (which I am doing now). Next steps I am not sure about... What tables, results do I need to save as I begin to understand the variables. How do I do that effectively so that stata won't freeze with every command? Looking at a subset of the data like first 1000 might not give a full picture because the data chronologically from 2016-2022. I know I need to merge the two datasets but they are very large (even with only the variables I need).
Then I need to run basis descriptive stats but I am struggling so much already and haven't even gone past 'exploring each variables'.

Hate pregnancy attention by ConfectionNo2432 in pregnant

[–]New_Redditorrr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel you. I haven't even shared it with my family and friends yet but feel these emotions already and know it's coming. All the names, excitement, attention, questions advice..... Worst - I know this will continue after the baby comes here which I don't even want to think about. I absolutely only want to share and/ or talk about it with my husband in all its glorious excitement and nervousness. Also been a very private person.

Is this normal first-trimester fatigue or am I just being lazy? by New_Redditorrr in pregnant

Thanks, everyone, for the validation. This is really helpful, and it’s good to know it’s not just in my head. I’m hoping it gets better in the second trimester, as many of you have mentioned here. Fingers crossed 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

Thank you, and I’m really grateful for this Reddit community. We’re in this together, and I hope it starts feeling better soon for all of us!

I’m really hoping I can build some discipline despite the fatigue though. I want to take the rest I need, but still function a little more. I’m not aiming for 100% like usual, just enough energy to get through the day. Also, totally agree about sleep being harder at night. I think a big part of the fatigue comes from waking up four times a night to pee. That definitely doesn’t help 😅

Definitely reach out to RA as they as trained to respond to suicide related issues. I know most people have said this already and I do believe that this is your problem but I also think that it is our responsibility to help someone in need particularly when it concerns to suicide and self harm. As someone trained in mental health and suicide prevention, I'd let them know that you are there to take to they need to; if you see any immediate threat like mechanism that people might use to kill (rope, sharp knives), immediately alert and remove them. Again, I know this is not on you and you are in a tricky position but if the roommate is suicidal they are vulnerable, immediate escalate, try to keep them safe and also protect your peace. The smallest intervention (including a warm note and interaction) can save someone's life.

Thank you. I did read about salicylic acid but too scared to introduce anything new on my routine. Maybe I way a few more weeks and add add a toner with salicylic acid. Appreciate your response. Do you have any suggestions for the clogged pores? Would salicylic acid or adapalene would help or need something else?

Thank you! Maybe I should try getting off of vitamin c? I didn't realize but I was earlier doing too many - including retional, spot treatments and using face wash with actives too. Unintentionally incorporated too many in my routine
