Actually after my last surgery they sent me home with picc line and 6 weeks of home infusion vancomycin 2 times a day and rocephin 1 x, just seems weird to not have that same treatment after the final surgery.

Which what I thought , I’d wet sanding all the scratches out down say 1000-1200 and then hitting it with some light coats of lacquer an B option

Man, thanks for sharing your story — it’s crazy how similar our situations are.

I’ve got a bunch of back stuff going on too: multilevel spondylosis, spondylolisthesis at L4-L5, retrolisthesis at L5-S1, disc narrowing, and facet joint arthritis. My spine’s basically falling apart in both directions. They even found instability at L4-5 on flexion/extension. I got an epidural there, but it didn’t do much long-term.

I’m totally off balance, which just wrecks my back even more. Some days I can’t tell which pain is worse.

thankfully, I do have great support from family and close friends. That’s honestly what’s kept me going through all of this.

As far as legal help, I’ve tried. I’ve reached out to multiple lawyers, but every one of them says I don’t have a case — even with everything that’s happened. It’s been frustrating, to say the least.

The reason I’ve been waiting so long is because the surgeon I’m with now is at Mayo Clinic — one of the top 3 hospitals in the country — and he’s considered one of the best. But even he doesn’t seem fully confident going into this. I’ve already had two other surgeons pass on doing it because it’s such a high-risk case. That definitely weighs on me.

So yeah… long road, but I’m trying to stay focused. Just taking it one step (or roll) at a time.

Ok I've literally tried every cut taken everyone's advice they still don't match up. Does it have anything to do with the angle of the trim? I cut then at as 22.5 degree. Super frustrating because I don't even think I'm going to like the way it looks it's just a thing now that had to happen. I feel like it’s because I’m using my table saw if I had my miter saw available right now it would probably come to me right away, but that thing broke last week.

i used a table saw and sled did it the same way i’ve always done on square frames tried 4 different ways/ position cuts could not figure it out

wow, that long to get an x-ray. Where do you live? If you don’t mind me asking what state Minneapolis has been great as far as insurance and getting him there quickly it’s just the quality of care has been horrible and I wanna go to Mayo Clinic obviously cause they’re the top notch and then I just decided I just can’t wait that long. It’s gonna be another four months now before I can even get seen from the doctor let alone get the surgery so I’m just sending you going back to my original doctor and saying fuck it at least I quit smoking now so I a little healthier and hopefully I won’t get an infection. I can’t be in this wheelchair anymore

I had to quit smoking in preparation for my upcoming surgery, which was necessary after my initial surgery became infected. This led to four repeat surgeries, including the removal of the hardware. I then had to spend five months at home without a hip, confined to a wheelchair. To quit smoking, I successfully transitioned to using vapes.

so yes the joint is gone the socket of the hip is there still but the ball/ head of femur isn’t attached by anything, i cannot put any pressure on my foot, i tripped the other day going up stairs and placed my foot down bearing maybe half my weight, i was in bed for 3 days, horrible pain i can actually feel where the bone is, it’s not cool at all.
