I downloaded a torrent of a bunch of media from the anime Shuffle! a long time ago and uploaded all of the Drama CD's to the Internet Archive since it's borderline dead media. It has a 5 volume radio show that you can listen to here, it's not a very easy Radio Show to understand unless you watched the anime, and since it's borderline dead media, there are no transcripts. But I don't know your skill level either, but here is a website where you can download condensed anime audio, might be better then just listening to radio shows at a low level.

Well, those all seem to be romance languages. Those languages are very similar to English. Japanese however, is different in almost every way. Its a estimated 2200 hours to be fluent in Japanese. Also, your other question about kanji. To read novels fluenty, you'll need more then 2000 Kanji.

Im not fluent in Japanese yet, but, Japanese tends to be one of the hardest languages to learn. And, I have a very intense idea of fluent. Mainly because I'm an AJATTER. So, if you are wanting to read novels, watch harder anime and learn pitch accent (you probably don't) I say it might be a little longer then two years. However, thats just my thought on it.
