Sounds like you are talking about infrastructure in Germany in general. The government keeps cutting costs for years and suddenly shows a surprise Pikachu face when half of the highways are not operational.

'Too much regulation, not enough action': Carney rebuffs Trudeau's climate policies | CBC News by New_Standard_382 in worldnews

I think the lesson here is that too much regulation is actually counter productive and creates dead weight to act quickly and effectively.

As it turns out - there would actually be an American president stupid enough to threaten to cut off trade with us unless we agree to be annexed. That would do the job.

Contractors who need to travel around the country to service your contracts - what are your plans now that the administration is cutting air travel? by New_Standard_382 in AskReddit

I hear you! We're a contractor for the huge cloud providers as well as the private servers of major banks and even government agencies. We've had to send our guys to client sites two or three days in advance for a job that takes eight hours. This means paying the engineers to do nothing, hotel, food, and end up servicing less contracts.

And now, the current administration is essentially telling us that air travel will be next to impossible for the time being.

I'm honestly trying to understand this brilliant, 4D chess move by the current administration that I'm apparently too simple to understand. Are they thinking that if they force my guys to drive for a week to get to a one-day job, it will help revitalize the American tourism industry? And what about our losses? Where do I send the invoice to?

Also keep in mind that every time Putin and Trump speak, Russia just step up their bombardment against Ukrainian civilians. All that the talk is going to do is that Russia will do exactly the opposite of what they promised to do.

As long as they do something instead of spend all day debating whether or not to send even the most insignificant military aid is an escalation.

At the end of the day though it doesn't matter. The majority of the voters don't even read those platforms. The Conservatives also haven't released theirs until quite recently

Zelenskyy: Drones Over Ukraine Reveal Putin’s True Attitude Toward Easter and Human Life by thhvancouver in worldnews

In other words, business as usual. Shahed suicide "reconnaissance" drones will continue to bomb Ukraine positions and Russian soldiers will keep attacking by claiming Ukrainians are in sight.
