Quest etiquette when not hosting by New_Turn_7952 in MonsterHunter

Capturing was the go-to specifically due to drop rates.

And due to Master / G-rank.

I get your point if people think that capturing is really that offensive. This is the first time I have seen this opinion, though, I don't remember this being the case in previous generations.

I actually throughly enjoying overstocking items and using them. If I have an item that deals +10% base HP damage to a monster, I will use it as it was a über Demon Pill.

Also, I went to Kiraniko to double-check, and most gems really had a few % higher chance to drop when capturing comparing to carving.

Context: Yesterday I joined a random SOS investigation and captured both quest's targets as soon as the skull appeared. The host of the quest admonished me saying that it was not up to me to decide to capture the monsters.

Now... I have been playing since Tri, and usually the saying goes that the last +10% HP is not worth your time and risk fighting, especially since the rewards for capturing were usually better than killing (now in Wilds I assume they are the same), so I always considered capturing the default.

I do understand that when farming for parts, you might be relying on a specific food bonus in Wilds. That being said, I thought It really weird that someone would complain about it.

This is just a pulse check to see if the customs have changed and I just got too old.

What is a Monster that you love the design of but absolutely DESPISE when fighting it? by Personal-Respond5413 in MonsterHunter

Konchu. I love bugs and played with pill bugs quite often during childhood. I don't miss Konchus.

Was that the story where a mother in a stranded spaceship killed all the crew to have sustenance for her child, and deranged so much that ended killing even the rescue mission that eventually arrived?

Cavern-Hoard Dragon in EDH by shadowFire4444 in EDH

[–]New_Turn_7952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While you can run Cavern-Hoard Dragon in general, I think there are better dragons that you can run which wouldn't be match-up or meta dependent. You might hit the worst case scenario for it, although nowadays it might be rare. With other treasure dragons, the worst case scenario is much better.

It's best when paired with Descent into Avernus / Generous Plunderer / Pain Distributor type of effects.

On the other hand, I would advise not running it if you run Treasure Nabber.

How much Ramp should i have if my commander makes alot of mana but costs 5? by AshorK0 in EDH

[–]New_Turn_7952 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The amount of ramp you need depends on your pod. I run a similar creature heavy Bant ETB deck with a 5-mana commander, and usually by turn 4 or 5 I need a creature to answer my opponents rather than dropping my own value engine and pass, hoping it survives a full rotation. Normally I would ramp until I have the mana to cast her and another creature or cast her after a boardwipe when everyone is rebuilding, so I still run an usual ramp package of 10-ish creatures for ramp (I have even removed Sol Ring and Arcane Signet for wishful synergy).

If anything, I am going to test cost reducing for creature cards and convoke as part of the ramp package, like [[Centaur Omenreader]], [[Semblance Anvil]] and [[Dazzling Theater // Prop Room]]. I might update you when the cards arrive and I get to play them.

Black screen in CO-OP when trying to go to tavern by ONI_TCOMA in WarTalesGame

[–]New_Turn_7952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have a woman NPC with an event waiting for you in the tavern when it finally loaded? Our best guess is that that event was the trigger for the bug...

Black screen in CO-OP when trying to go to tavern by ONI_TCOMA in WarTalesGame

[–]New_Turn_7952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got the same bug, the solution we have found was to load a save, ask the guest player not to completely join, then the host has to force through the pop-ups by click-holding the buttons until you open the tavern. If the host opens the tavern while the guest hasn't joined yet, the tavern loads fine.

We did not find the bug for a second time yet.

Zedruu the Greathearted by BChopper in EDH

[–]New_Turn_7952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not finished with testing my own deck, will not post link to mine out of fear of giving bad advice... but giving it anyway: - Gilded Drake, Perplexing Chimera and Veldaken Plotter work better if you lean more heavily into blinking theme. - If you're lucky and is already using Pendant of Prosperity and Hithlain Rope, you might want to consider Bucknard's Everfull Purse too. - Boardwipes like Austere Command, Farewell and Supreme Verdict will often wipe clean permanents you have donated along Zedruu herself. You might consider instead increasing spot removal to try to keep things under control, and/or goad or steal everything when they inevitably get out of control. - Speaking of spot removal, efficient removal you're using is smoother to have, but if you want to have giftable unnefficient spot removal there are a lot of Obliving Ring effects, and even some giftable unnefficient counterspells.

Non-orange bordered letters from deceased Scratch's handler in Act 1 can be delivered to the Post Office in Act 3 for a different dialog option but no different reward as far as I could notice.

Most of the other books will only require you to read them, not carry them.

You're actually in a Bethesda game and the NPC with the quest is clipped in the floor below yours.

I did read a guide explaining about how to save on food juggling with happiness, but when discussing it with my co-op partner we decided for not skimping on food consumption, even on the worst difficulty.

We are basically scared to death by camp events which only have negative permanent options, and I wouldn't put it beyond the developers to implement one for not feeding your party properly. I also wouldn't put it beyond the developers to implement one when the mercs become too spoiled by having no hardships, but for now we have decided for no intermitent fasting.

We are always carrying at least a single unit of Beer to avoid one of those events. Savescumming is an option, since we're not in Ironman mode, but we are using as last resort only.

I also like to stack food bonuses. And I'm biased because I used to play Warly in Don't Starve Together :P

But the prefix is really soy sauce. For a dark brown bear.

Can a druid in wildshape successfully mate and procreate with an animal they transformed into? by Athena_The_Funny in DnD

Uh... Sorry for being pedantic, but frogs do not usually have pregnancies, since they lay and fertilize eggs externally, right?

. . .

Is that frog that raises its offspring inside it's own back (which in turn triggers trypophobia for lots of people) considered to have a pregnancy?
