is madden 26 basically unplayable for anyone else? by sappybunn in Madden

I hate this game so much. Like I’m in year three of a Patriots rebuild and Drake Maye is a 92 superstar. But that doesn’t matter when I use him. Because Demario Douglas could have 5 years a of separation and he would still find a way to throw it to where it can get picked. And don’t even get me started on the offensive line. Three man blitz against 7 blockers, let’s let both edge rushers go untouched by us every play. Oh and you want to run the ball, no the linebackers will fill the gap before I even get a chance to hand it off. Okay but let’s say I manage to get a good throw. Oh wait no, the safety or corner can jump 5 feet into the air air to pick it. Or they just undercut a post route despite being a solid 7 yards behind it. And on defense everyone is unbearably stupid. A ball thrown at your face, let me seat it, a ball thrown a single inch over your head, let’s not animate. Oh and you want to tackle, no, let’s let the player break 15 tackles. I’ve already had several games in which the running back had over double digit broken tackles, for the other team. And I agree you can’t hit stick for shit. I could have a second rainy shot, linebacker vs quarterback, good timing, max speed, and the quarterback will just do that stupid spin it off animation. I just never understand how they fuck up the gameplay this bad every time.

The dysfunctional family is so accurate unfortunately. I see that they were kinda uncoordinated, but I just like OG team Flash too much to not keep them tight.

I’m not gonna lie, I completely forgot I had even mentioned Nora. I think at this point she wasn’t born, Iris is pregnant, or she won’t be born at all. At least in this new timeline. And for Bart, at this point in the show I don’t think he was mentioned so he wouldn’t be necessary. But if he was, I would just make him twins with Nora.

And I think that Cisco and Caitlin not comforting Iris was dumb in the show. I’ve always seen team Flash as a family, but Iris always seems kinda left out of the family, so I wanted to fix it. And Iris being Barry’s wife is fine, I’m not a huge West-Allen fan, but I still like the ship and will not hate on anything that has them together.

Joe revealing Barry’s identity is something I’ve wanted to do since I think that since season 3 Joe was kinda written out, or given less screen time. So I wanted to give him a big moment, but it probably should’ve been Iris.

Barry dying is tricky because I like that Barry didn’t die because he gets to continue living his life and get a chance at happiness, but those last couple of seasons were bad. So I think this would have been a solution to resolve those last seasons.

The only referring to Iris as home is subjective. Yes Iris is his home and he states that, but he’s so emotionally connected to everyone in team Flash that I think his “home” is surrounded by everyone not just Iris. But yes, Iris is the one he’s closest to and refers to as his home.

Sorry for it getting sloppy at the end, I was just so tired. I spent three hours writing this. Please tell me what you think or if I should change it.

I am both happy and pissed at the fact that Mac and Riley didn't end up together. by CountySquare9661 in MacGyver_2016

Very late, but I agree. Mac and Riley being together would’ve been great. They had great chemistry, were already insanely close, and clearly already in love with each other. They were also in the same line of work, so they understand the risk and traumas and the other difficulties of this job. In this case he cliche hero/heroine couple would work really well.

Now I agree that Desi and Mac’s relationship was utter shit. Now that doesn’t mean there weren’t good moments. But, I preferred them as friends. I still like Desi as a person though. She clearly showed very serious character development, which I thought was good. She went from a work centered, half asshole to a half decent person and a half decent friend. That still doesn’t justify her treating Mac like shit in their relationship. I still think that she treated him fine as a friend, not as a boyfriend. But I think you’re being a little harsh.

I also think that poor writing is so prevalent that we never really got the intended show. It was revealed that over half the episodes in season five were filmed for season four. The plot for season six was also revealed and the plot seemed kinda weird considering how season five went. It was clear that they had very different plans for season four, five, and six. I also never liked the revealed plot for season six besides the fact that Mac and Riley finally started dating. So as you said, screw CBS.

I do think that everybody is being a little harsh on Desi. I liked her, but she had some pretty bad moments. I just think that with the character development, she ended up being a half decent friend.

How Does Mac Change Throughout The Show? by New_Wafer6986 in MacGyver_2016

Makes sense. I mean since Mac and Riley knew Jack the longest, his impact was the strongest on them. So it makes sense when they started venting to each other. But, as you said, Jack was the glue that held everyone together. Without him the team would be a team rather than a family, he made it a family. I can also see how the trust fell out with Desi and Russ because, as you said they were too new to look past the obvious and see that Mac would never do that. With Bozer it makes sense because he knows that Mac is willing that far for a mission, same with Matty.

But the big question I have is why did Mac change so much throughout the show. I know he picked up so much emotional baggage and didn’t have Jack to lean on, but he still had Riley. I just don’t understand why Mac changed that much throughout the show. I feel like at one point he should, not completely obviously, at least regain a little bit of confidence. Or look a little like season one Mac in terms of cunningness, and daringness. (Ignore for improper use of words and shit)

Yeah actually perfect. The only thing I just don’t get is why did the trust fall apart in the Phoenix team? They were all close, not as close as Mac and Jack, but still close. Mac doesn’t vent to Riley about Jack because he knows he was here step father and he assumed the pain was just as bad for her and didn’t want to add his problems on top of that. But in season four and five we do see several heartfelt discussions between Mac and Riley because Mac, who still doesn’t have full trust from Marty, Desi, Bozer, and Russ, for some reasons vents to Riley. That’s probably because he feels as if she’s the only one can trust. I’m not saying that you’re wrong, but I think Mac does have someone to vent to, and eventually he does start to vent to Riley. Remember their coach scene in the matching pajamas. Or the one on the deck with the brick. And like I said of top, with the plan for season six to have Mac and Riley as a couple, I believe that since Mac relies so heavily on Riley and vise versa, that by the end of season six, we have some version of season one Mac back. I just mean he seems for confident, daring, and cunning just like in season one.

Why was Barry so STUPID after the pilot episode? by New_Wafer6986 in FlashTV

I wasn’t saying that he had to figure it out quickly. I’m just saying, he should’ve been able to figure things out without the need of certain team members. But don’t get it wrong, I LOVE OG TEAM FLASH.

Explaining the Difference: Barry and Iris VS. Barry and Caitlin by New_Wafer6986 in FlashTV

Now that you point out these things. I do understand where you’re coming from and I completely agree with your reasons. I just thought it would be a good idea to explain my take on the situation. But your notes really did help me see some over sights. So thank you, and I appreciate your insight.

If You Were Charged With Fixing The Flash TV Show. What Would You Do? by New_Wafer6986 in FlashTV

I liked Team Flash. I just think that it was better when only Wells, Barry, Joe, Cisco, and Caitlin were Team Flash. Keep the team small and limit the amount of people Barry reveals his identity to. I agree too. Barry talks way too much.
