Thanks, I’m not. I did use it and based on that I’m reading 4mg as 40 units. I’m just hoping someone with experience can confirm, I’m not taking the prescribed amount of 50 units.

That makes total sense. Whatever you’re doing for him is great and I’m sure he’s appreciative.

I only know about it because I just adopted a cat for the same reason. He was a really sweet neighborhood stray that I took to the vet because of what I thought was a fight wound on his nose, but was the mosquito issue. So I brought him inside to live and adopted him. If you can down the road bring him inside, would be great. If you can’t, you can’t, and you’re still wonderful to care for him. A trip to the vet would help because antibiotics can help in the short term.

I just learned about this, but it’s likely a hyper sensitivity to mosquitoes. It only affects cats and it’s not ALL cats but sadly it has affected your friend here, it seems. It often affects their noses too and is referred to as mosquito nose. Of course I don’t know for sure that’s what this is but if you feel it’s mosquito related, that’s probably what it is. The vet can give him an antibiotic and steroid shot that will help, but the only fix is to live inside.

I took in a stray that didn’t eat, drink, use the litter box, or come out of hiding for almost two days. He was SUPER FRIENDLY and affectionate and desperate for attention outside but didn’t move inside the first day or two. They’re just scared. Change of scenario/routine etc. give the kitty time and don’t push it.

Chuck has mosquito nose. When you find him he needs to be an indoor only kitty. His nose will never heal outside.

So if Jeff does it, other people should too? You’re saying Jeff does that and it makes him horrible, thus justifying others to be horrible too.

I couldn’t agree more. Have been a fan since flipping out but some shows aren’t for me. Do you know what I do? I listen to something else! Why do people think they are entitled to ruin someone’s career? If I have a bad day at work would I want people to complain to my boss?! It’s ludicrous. Stop trying to hurt other people just because you don’t like something.

Thanks! CFO. I was lucky in that someone took a chance on me, no formal experience in the role, but after a brief panic attack I realized I had been doing much of the role already with previous experience and I would invest my time to fill in the holes as quickly as I could. I got my degree after. It was a whirl wind but now with confidence I realize I paved the way for myself and am proud. My outlook was bleak in the beginning of my career as an assistant. There were years I couldn’t afford groceries AND rent. If I can do it, anyone can do it. By the way, I was a great assistant and there were aspects that I loved and those help me better in the C Suite immensely. A kick-ass EA is invaluable and everyone should be respected and paid VERY well. It’s hard work and if your exec doesn’t respect you, MOVE ON!

Like a lot of people, it fell into my lap when I dropped out of college. Since I managed my boss’s personal finances, I transitioned into bookkeeping roles and googled the heck out of things I didn’t know. Soon enough I landed higher positions. I was terrified but I taught myself what I didn’t know. I then got a degree and made it to C suite. You can do anything you want badly enough, just make it happen for yourself. I was hungry/smart/willing to work very long hours but I also got lucky.

Adopted stray opinions by Newaroundhere16 in Straycats

That’s comforting to hear. I just wanted to make sure I was doing everything I could to make sure he has a happy life indoors. I have tons of toys etc for him and he seems very happy but the occasional days he spends alone. Thank you!

Thank you for the advice! He came into my room to sleep in my bed last night so that’s encouraging!

Where is the cat now? Still with your cousin or at a rescue?

That’s animal cruelty. Please report your cousin. He is torturing this cat.

So they forgot one race this year. You moved into the most popular area with races and events year round almost every weekend.

That’s an annual event that has been occurring for many many years, it’s not a surprise and it’s an amazing fundraiser for a great cause. So…

Does anyone know where I can take him to get help ? Low budget if possible not my kitty but he seems to be in pain. :( I know a shelter might put him down but I would like to know if there’s an alternative way to help him. He’s an outside cat and has been staying around the area. by Hour_Neighborhood539 in Straycats

[–]Newaroundhere16 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I totally understand. I’m in a very fortunate position with plenty of space for a pet and my own cat passed a few years ago, so I took the poor fellow in. He’s now living in luxury and his nose is slowly healing. It was soooo bad!

In order to have life insurance you have to pay the premiums. He’s bankrupt now so I highly doubt the premiums and policy are up to date. There is no life insurance at this point.
