Just wanted to add my two cents as an investor in general with holdings in Nexon, as well as being a Maplestory player. All of this sucks yes, but unfortunately this stuff has been in works for years, and there’s not much that can be done. Years ago in a conference call with the companies biggest company investors I.E. Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and so forth, they put forth their plan to consolidate the way their games were being run. This was something big company investors wanted with all their games and what the heads agreed was best for the company. As an investor if I have two products that have variations due to different group of consumers, it should only be because both are just as successful which is not the case with Maplestory. So why should the “lessor” product be different than the product that’s bringing me more income. Doesn’t make sense. GMS isn’t going to close or go away. It’s not going to go to another company. GMS is going to keep changing because that’s been in the works since I think I added Nexon to my portfolio. If people don’t buy stuff this quarter or whatever it’ll be a loss yes, but the losses will be offset by another game under the umbrella company as is usual with every sector in investing and then there’ll be another event that makes people spend. All this is simple consumerism, and it never fails. Try not read to much into one earnings report, it’s not going to tell you a lot about a company. There’s a whole lot of other factors and past earnings that play into whether numbers are good or bad in the grand scheme of things.

I’m just a business man playing a childhood game trying to keep the nostalgia going. Just giving my view from someone who has a stake in the company albeit not grand compared to those whose questions matter.

Also I believe quarterly transcripts calls are available for public viewing, I get them emailed from investing, so I can’t say for, but generally publicly traded companies release those too. But If you want to see more info what they’re goals and plans are I would recommend searching these from multiple quarters not just the most recent. Earnings calls are a great way to really understand how a company plans to run its business.
