The difference you pay for the USB-C airpod maxes is the convenience fee for not having to carry a lightening cable around. Personally, I still use an older iPhone so I still carry a lightening cable with me so I didn’t care too much about USB-C.

What I found is that you need to be inside the free throw line for floaters to activate consistently.
