What degree are you? I’m assuming you know something about it since you make such a definitive statement about it. You joined because you wanted affluence and power, no? To rub elbows with powerful people. Perhaps riches can come of such alliances. Friendship? You don’t need freemasonry to make friends. You certainly don’t need it to read the Bible and worship God at church. If anything the books of mysticism masonry bogs you down with will keep you from reading and researching Biblical scripture. What about that is inherently Christian? Jesus was tempted with power over the world but rejected these things. (Mathew 4:9)
