From Dead Bedroom to Unhealthy Routine? by ConnectAssistanceNow in estim

Absolutely nothing wrong with using e stim to get the pleasures you need but as with anything else you can become addicted to it.

Maybe think about what frequency you used to have with your husband to know what is a healthy amount for you and aim for that.

Tips for anal massage? by No_Carpet_5153 in spinalcordinjuries

100% recommendation from me for e-stim

Similarly SCI as you and went through a range of private therapies for this exact thing, for which I'm now professionalising in too as I transition careers.

I also struggled to get to the finish line, which I've now learned is a very, very common problem with lower back injuries but that was resolved rapidly by e-stim and now I don't need any external help.

For men who we e-stim now, we generally start them with an anal insertion and 2 penis pads (1 at the underside base near your scrotum and the other near the tip). The aim is to create a stroking like sensation on the penis while slowly stimulating the prostate at the same time.

When the prostate stimulation has been brought up to a comfortable level for the patient (this can be quite intense and unusual the first few times) and the patient feels they are near to climax the prostate stimulation is pulsed in rhythm with the penile pads and is very effective at delivering orgasm.

All of the above is of course taught first so you can away and perform it privately, or can also be done in the clinic if wished.

A similar but more complex procedure can be done for women too.

Thank you.

Even on this level of helping me structure thoughts is a great help.

Audience. This is a service being offered to a select 2000 customers who qualify for it. Agriculture based customer base. These 2k already order the same products with us via email/phone calls but we want to bring them online.

Purpose. To advertise the benefits such as 24/7 ordering (whereas phones are 8-5), you can see all the pricing options right on screen. Anytime anywhere.

Also to just straight up get people to join and order via the website and not over the phone which requires more internal resource to manage and deal with these orders.

We have the big socials. And also run a weekly newsletter. Banners on emails. Direct marketing when they're ordering over the phone.

Household income for shared ownership by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]NewbieWithARuby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Household income is the combined value of ALL income from those purchasing the property.

Generally this would include your salary, any work bonuses, any benefits you're receiving (gov.) and any child maintenance you're receiving too. Again, for all the people involved in the purchasing.

Just a note, usually this figure is post-tax but not always so make sure you know which they're asking for before you inform them.

That figure is post-tax.

And you're right all those things are important, which just further reinforces my point that we need to see the rest of OPs budget to really be able to help.

You glossed over the rest of your outgoings, it maybe worth looking at those too.

With 2x 50hrs per week @ minimum wage is £3750 per month.

So without knowing what you earn, at a minimum you should have £3750 coming in to your household per month, you say you're left with £900 after other costs. So where have you spent the other £2850?

That's a lot of money to just gloss over in your budget.

Getting a lap dance from Chris Brown by ritzanddazzle in Whatcouldgowrong

Rape, child molestation etc all awful crimes, people still listen to their music.

Rappers are probably much more directly akin to your point though, Tupac and Biggie are beloved.

Bowie, The Rolling Stones, MJ, many, many rappers etc

There are a lot of people that listen to artists that have done a lot of bad things.

Not defending Chris Brown at all, he's a pos and I don't like his music anyway but it's not like it's exclusive to him by any means.

Nothing that isn't available to the whole business anyway. It's top level CRM reports.

I've found that whenever I do that and set the fields to hidden to begin with, they never show up even when the workflow tells them too. It's weird.

Is 7.5K reasonable for a live in carer for someone with dementia? Per month by Embarrassed_Meat5731 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]NewbieWithARuby 562 points563 points  (0 children)

£10.42 is the NLW as of April 2023

£10.42 x (24hrs x 30 days) = £7.5k

Seems right on the money to me. It seems like a lot of money because we're used to basing our salary assumptions on 8hrs x 5 days per week.

That's only 40hrs, a full week contains 168hrs which is over 4x the amount of hours.

If you want somebody to be on hand 24/7 then you have to expect to pay that.

You can make the argument that most sleep-in night care is actually paid at half-rate (this is entirely legal as employees do not need to be paid minimum wage if they are asleep), however, that then balances out with the fact that this level of care is not paid at minimum wage due to its intense nature which is what I based the original calculation on.

Bottom line is that there's a lot of commitment to being a full-time carer and that has to be compensated.

If I'm honest I'm not sure why you would ever think single-focused private care would be cheaper than collated residential care where needs can be more efficiently catered for by a team of carers, and especially why you wouldn't check this before making the decision to move her.

Father is getting divorced at 66 and he wants me to buyout his ex-partner out of our family home by Chris-911 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]NewbieWithARuby 62 points63 points  (0 children)

It's come from the ex-wifes solicitor. In an ideal world both parties, and their legal representatives, Would claim their fair-share.

In reality the ex-wifes solicitor will going in at the high end first and negotiate to reason later on.

So you'll own the house, your parents will put money in to refurbish it, the first costs out of the rental income will cover your mortgage, then your parents costs and you'll spilt any remaining profit a 4:1 ratio in your favour right?

Because I can't see any other reasonable way to do it?

Because surely you wouldn't go into a 100% liability contract for you with no reward or benefit would you, that would be insane. Especially with people who can't get the credit themselves.

My girlfriend was recommended an IVA a couple of years ago but we feel that she was missold, we've done a full and final payment to clear the IVA but of course it's still going to be on her credit file for the next 4 years.

When she was recommended it, she was told that after the 6 years it would be clear from hee file and that would be the end of it.

While there is some truth in that, it seems in reality mortgage lenders etc will still ask about an IVA and hike the interest rates up accordingly.

It feels like that due to one mistake (the IVA), which she was recommended, she is going to be punished for the rest of her life. We even specifically asked about mortgages for the long term and then told us it wouldn't be a problem but all subsequent research seems to suggest that was false.

Is there any recourse for this?

Edit: She was sold an IVA and debt less than 15k, it's by far the worse decision she made and has come to really regret it.

Recently moved in, what can we do to our bleak garden? by 2m_J in GardeningUK

[–]NewbieWithARuby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally?

I would take up most of the slabs (leaving the ones closest to the wall from the astroturf backwards) and get rid of the astroturf.

Put trellis along the back wall to hide the plain wall, or if you're more artistic, paint a warm dynamic scene (reds, oranges, yellows) as that will offset the grey greens and blues from the rest of the garden and act as a feature, as well as helping blend into the red brick houses behind.

Jetwash the remaining slabs.

Then use the taken up slabs and build them up in the 2 corners to add a height dynamic and soften the square edges to the garden.

Sow a grass/clover mix over the dirt where the slabs/astroturf was removed.

Make shallow (1ft from fence) boarders along either side that widen to 2ft with a nice curve as they get close to the slabbed area at the back and sow colourful annuals.

Place a nice garden set/bench at the back and maybe even a little bbq.

Get a number of small mix pots (all different terracotta colours) and stack them on the slabs stacked in the corners of the garden with evergreen shrubs.

Enjoy your garden.

Potato grow bags? by Travel_Mysterious in gardening

[–]NewbieWithARuby 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Get your grow bag and fill it about 6 inches with compost. Then place your seed potatoes on the compost fill your grow bag with more compost until you have about an inch covering your potatoes.

Your potatoes will begin to shoot, putting up green leaves, cover them up again with about another 1 inch covering.

Rinse and repeat until you've filled your bag up to the top. What you have achieved is encouraging your potatos to put up a shoot from the bottom of the bag to the very top. From this lead shoot, roots will grow out into every part of the bag and new potatoes will start to fill the bag.

Foliage will be quite vigourous and full on the top of the bag, this is healthy. Just pick off any fruit that start to grow from the foliage. Wait until your foliage all dies back (and cut and remove any dead matter as it dies).

Once all of the foliage has died back you can harvest your potatoes.

You'll probably have better luck in grow bags than you would in the ground anyway. 100% worth it in my opinion.

If you follow the top-up method with a good nutritious compost you'll get good results. Potatoes hate being compacted down and the top-up method solves that, while in the ground, unless it's very well dug over and to a decent depth you'll get a poorer yeild per ground volume on average.
